We had a very positive experience working with Phelps Homes during my in-laws’ downsizing to a bungalow community in the Jordan Station area. From the very beginning, the Phelps team was supportive, understanding, and genuinely attentive to their needs during a big life transition for them. All phases of the process were extremely well organized, and the contacts from Phelps were always transparent and clear about timelines and next steps. This made the entire experience feel manageable. The design and selections phase was especially collaborative and enjoyable thanks to Jodie, who listened carefully and offered thoughtful guidance on the right selections for the home. The PDI and after-move support with Camilo were excellent. He is always thorough and responsive to any move in issues. The overall sales process with Matt was outstanding. Matt is very personable and easy to speak with about the community and new builds. He is also very knowledgable about the real estate market; lending a friendly ear to my in-laws questions. This is a family-owned builder, and that truly comes through in every stage of the process. We would absolutely recommend Phelps to anyone looking for an organized, transparent, and genuinely supportive home-building experience.

The house they built for us was built very cheaply in 2025. Bad electrical work, plumbing, unfinished walls, damaged doors, broken wood with nails that go nowhere. Their response is usually “everything passed inspection.” There is a difference between doing the bare minimum to pass inspection and doing a proper job to prevent issues. Clogged pipes 2 months after the house was built. Stay away.

Moved in to our condo/townhouse about a month and a half ago. Very pleased with the workmanship by Phelps. There were a few items that needed to be finished and there are still a few outstanding minor issues [ex: our extended island overhang - but on order]. I have to commend the site supervisor [Joe] since anything that could be done right away, he and his team did so! Melissa Ward is excellent! Very professional and is quick to respond with whatever concern we had. Thank you Melissa, we appreciate you very much. Overall, my family's experience with Phelps Homes has been positive. 👍

Very impressed with Phelps Homes customer service. We just purchased a Phelps Home built in 2016 and have had a few questions in order to complete some renovations, such as extending the cabinets/counter tops in the kitchen. They were extremely helpful, responded within the same day, and provided me with direct contact information of the companies used. I wish all businesses were this professional and helpful.

We built a home with Phelps about 6 years ago. The closing was delayed 3X and sadly our house was not fully finished by the time closing day arrived. I believe the company was experiencing some staffing issues at the time etc. The home itself was lovely and constructed very well. I must say that Phelps really does have some of the most beautiful home designs I’ve ever seen and I would definitely consider purchasing again provided things have improved with the company. I am very excited and happy to see some recent high ratings here. This is a great sign signalling that things have improved!
