I went into this store to purchase cat food the other day. The person who I understand was the owner (Laura) was extremely rude. Take your money somewhere else!

Can’t say enough about Laura and John, the owners of Pet Valu in Virgil. For 15 years we have been customers here, owning 2 dogs for much of that time and the service has always been good. Now I can firmly attest that the service is, if possible, more than exemplary under their dedicated management. Nothing is too much to ask and they diligently work with you to ensure full satisfaction. Fabulous couple, unbeatable customer service. Total recipe for great success. I can’t say enough about the family at Pet Valu Virgil. Four years ago, Sol came into my life, and from that moment on, this place became my go-to for all things doggo. We’re talking kibble toppers, super warm winter jackets for our Québec road trips, and an unnecessary but entirely necessary amount of treats and toys. Every. Single. Employee. Is SO NICE. They bring so much joy into our lives it’s actually unfair. The level of care and customer service here is something you don’t expect from a franchise. They’ve somehow made it feel like the most well-oiled, thoughtful, small-town store. The owners are there practically every day, and you can feel it in how the place runs. Everything is seamless, every question is met with real knowledge, and every visit feels like catching up with old friends who also happen to be elite-level dog whisperers. And just when I thought they couldn’t get any better, we used their dog wash station for the first time. I never thought washing my dog could be a pleasurable experience, but here we are. They made it easy, comfortable, and somehow fun. Which, if you’ve ever bathed a dog, sounds like a lie, but it’s not. I don’t know how they do it, but Pet Valu Virgil isn’t just a store. It’s a support system, a hype squad, and a second home for anyone who loves their pets a little too much. Guilty.

They are so great in this location. Recommended excellent toys for our big boy that have stood the test of time. Took him in today for a bath and it went so easily with their setup in the back. Rusty is a clean happy boy and thanks them for the treat!
