I’m genuinely disappointed with my recent experience at this location. I purchased a set of earrings for my toddler, priced over $60, and was assisted by a South Asian woman with black hair. While she was removing the earrings from their original box, she accidentally dropped one of the small ball backings that screw onto the earring. She and another associate spent about 20 minutes searching for it but were unable to find it. Instead of replacing the set, she took a similar backing from another pair and told me to purchase the warranty — not as an option, but in a way that felt pressured. Throughout the interaction, she repeatedly reassured me that the replacement backing was exactly the same as the original, even though it clearly was not. I trusted her word and proceeded with the purchase, expecting honesty and proper service. She also mentioned I’d receive a call before the warranty expired, but I was never contacted. As expected, the mismatched backing kept falling off and has now gone missing entirely. It’s extremely frustrating because it feels like I was misled just to finalize a sale, rather than being helped with integrity and care. To add to my disappointment, I also have my wedding ring from People’s, and this same location has stopped calling me for my regular ring cleaning reminders — something they used to do consistently. I truly expected better integrity and customer care, especially as a returning customer. This experience has left me feeling misled and hesitant to shop here again. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as customers deserve honesty, transparency, and genuine service — not pressure or shortcuts.
