Penny's Kitchen Diner & Coffeehouse

We went there for breakfast on Saturday around 10:30. We were able to get a table very quickly and we're able to seat all 4 of us comfortably around the tables. I ordered the croissant sandwich and it was very flaky and delicious. The staff was super kind and helpful. We loved the atmosphere and the food!

Five Stars doesn't feel like enough!!! I had originally booked a table for 16 for after a hike of Ball's Falls Conservation area. We had 5 people backout prior to today and when I called yesterday afternoon to modify our reservation they could not have been more gracious. I called today as we were heading over from the conservation area and our table was setup and ready to go when we arrived. The first thing you'll notice is how nice the staff are. The second thing you'll notice is the epic breadth of the menu!!! Our waiter was an absolute dream. He took our beverage order right away then gave us plenty of time to peruse and debate the menu items amongst ourselves (not a quick task due to the number of menu items!!!). When he came back to take our orders he could not have been more efficient and thorough. The kitchen staff must be at least part magicians!!! Between the 11 of us, we ordered a broad spectrum from the menu and everyone of us was thrilled with our meals. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!!! If you live in the area or are simply passing through, you must stop to enjoy their amazing menu and wonderful staff!!!!

AMAZING! The food! The menu! The choices!! The gluten free options are incredible. I had the double stacked bacon cheeseburger on a gluten free bun with a side of gluten free poutine. Soooo good!!! We have been several times and try something new each time and wow it’s all so good!!!! The staff is awesome which just adds to the experience! Cute, cozy and top quality!

The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — friendly smiles, quick service, and genuine care that you rarely find these days. The restaurant itself is cozy, spotless, and beautifully arranged with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers on each table and soft lighting that creates a calm, inviting mood. We ordered the soup of the day, a hearty wrap with fries, and a classic eggs benedict — every dish came out fresh, hot, and beautifully presented. The flavors were spot on: creamy hollandaise, crispy potatoes, and that soup… absolutely comforting! What stood out most was the attention to detail and the relaxed pace — no rush, just warm hospitality. You can tell the team here truly cares about every guest’s experience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who appreciates excellent food, a peaceful ambiance, and service that feels personal. A true hidden gem worth revisiting!

One friendly family diner and cafe in the wine region. Affordable pricing, warm and good food, attentive service. All the right thing come to this neighborhood restaurant. If you are looking for simple but hearty food, this might be your choice.
