We took the Greatest Winery Tour and it was really great! Peller Estates is a beautiful property. We learned a lot about the area, wine making, and ice wine. Our favorite part was tasting ice wine in the 10 Below Ice Wine Lounge. Todd was an excellent guide and Go Bills!
View on GoogleHad the Chef's 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Everything was delightful. It was very quiet while there which made for a perfect evening. The ambiance was warm and inviting with the fireplace going. The service was spectacular and each dish was described along with the wine pairing. The chef and his team blended the flavors exquisitely and the pairings brought out the best of each element. Our preferences were taken into consideration and each course was a pleasant surprise. Of course it is not cheap but truly fine dining isn't. For a special occasion or for someone willing to pay for high quality daily will find a home here.
View on GoogleMy husband and I visited Peller Estates for a winery tour and had a fantastic experience. Our tour guide, John, was excellent. He's very knowledgeable about both the wines and the winery, and he made the tour engaging and enjoyable. After the tour, we did a tasting at the standing bar where John assisted us again. He shared even more insight into the wines and helped us select bottles that we liked. If you’re visiting, I highly recommend asking for John as your guide. The ice bar at the end of the tour was a fun and unique addition. Although the website mentions dressing for the weather, our tour didn’t go outside; the only cold part was the ice bar. We were on the last tour of the day in January, so this may be seasonal.
View on GoogleI've heard so much about the Peller Estates Winery, saying that they have one of the best restaurants in Niagara region. However we're quite disappointed about our visit this time. Firstly, about the dishes. We ordered from the 3 course menu. The flavors were ok, but nothing surprised me besides the Lobster tartar. And the plating was so unsatisfying, such as randomly cut potatoes with steak, carelessly dump a dollop of berry compose on the chocolate cake. Moreover, even we already made the reservation beforehand, we didn't mind to wait a while since there was no one behind the reception desk. Luckily we just waited for couple minutes before being lead in. The terrible thing happened after we paid the bill. We headed out to the reception desk for taking back our coats, but no one was there AGAIN. It was -2 cereus degree outside, we just waited and waited and waited, I didn't remember how long I wait, I just remembered I felt very cold without my coat. We tried to find a server, but they were all busy inside, even one of them saw me there but still not able to come out and help. Eventually no one showed up. I have been to so many high end restaurants, and never had this kind of experience. I expected more than this since Peller Estates' good reputation and the food price.
View on GooglePeller Estates in Niagara on the Lake is a stunning winery with beautifully maintained grounds and a touch of grandeur. We booked the guided tour, which began a bit slowly outside as we learned about the vineyard’s history and winemaking process. Thankfully, things picked up and became much more engaging as we moved indoors and explored behind the scenes. The highlight was definitely the 10 Below Ice Lounge. It was an unforgettable experience that was really cool 🥶 both literally and metaphoricallyl! They give you large parkas to wear to warm things up a bit. It was such a fun way to end the tour! The wines themselves were enjoyable and reflective of the Niagara region's charm. Overall, it was a memorable experience that started off a little snooze worthy 😴 and finished on a positive note. Highly recommend adding Peller Estates to your Niagara-on-the-Lake wine itinerary!
