They don't care about the patients your just a name they plug in for the new girls with no training. They take hours from existing working and give their hours to them. The care doesn't exist. I have been with Paramed for 14 years now. The past six months have been sheer hell for me. During the storm I went without care for 4 days. Then to top this off sent someone new. Who cannot be trusted to give me a shower. Even head office won't call you back. Never mind our co ordination. Which we haven't had now in over a year. I am frustrated

I have been With PARAMED for a couple years now I can only say that the girls I have gotten are exceptional, caring easily wanting to please and leave me feeling very, very good about myself. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my The PSW‘s that I have gotten . As far as head office, they are very accommodating when I need to change my time or not have them for that particular day they get on it right away

If you care about your loved one DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE PROVIDER. I have been stuck with this company for 6 months now. They are the only one Niagara Health uses. Most are uncaring and rude. They leave soiled gloves and diapers on tables and furniture. Visits last about 10 minutes. They do not even take there jackets off to do there work. And calling the office gets you nowhere, they are as rude as there employees. I have the pictures and recorded calls to prove it. I would share but my lawyer says not to. Class action suit to follow.

Paramed keeps sending new PSWs, and I’ve had to repeatedly train them to properly care for my mom. Recently, they sent a new PSW named Deidra, who refused to do my mom’s exercises and made condescending and disrespectful remarks toward me. I had to ask her to leave politely. When I called the office to report this issue, the staff were rude and unprofessional, dismissing my concerns instead of addressing them. This company shows no accountability or respect toward clients. I strongly advise staying away from Paramed — their service is disorganized and unprofessional.

The PSW's helping my mother since she entered her seniors' residence almost four months ago range from good to wonderful. However, the management of Paramed is abysmal. There appears to be only one PSW assigned to the seniors' residence that is capable of providing the service they have been contracted to provide my mother in the mornings. Whenever that person is off, the service is not provided. I assume this is a scheduling/instruction issue, and not the fault of the PSW's. My mother has had to wait up to two weeks for a shower. I wonder how often the people in charge bathe? To make things worse, they have NEVER responded to phone calls, or contact requests through their website. Even when my mother's Ontario Health at Home co-ordinator has managed to speak to them, and they told her they'd contact me, they never have. Ignoring someone who has a legitimate complaint is never a good business decision. I can only assume that, since they are the only company authorized by the seniors' residence to provide service at that site, they simply feel the you have to take what you get, and you can do nothing about it. Like I said - abysmal, uncaring management.
