Came here twice now. Both times, her Venezualan style arepas are out of this world! Had different beef and pork offerings in a corn flour shell. Shell was done perfectly, nice and light. Pork filling is delicious, juicy and flavourful. My friend liked his so much we had to come back today. The proprietor was a bit guarded at first but she warmed up to us quickly when she realized we wanted authentic food.
View on GoogleExcellent Venezuelan restaurant. The best cachapa I’ve had since I left my country more than 20 years ago. Great variety of food options, and they are all great.

View on GoogleEng- Passing by Welland when I saw this restaurant out of the corner of my eye. Had to U-turn to try it out and it was the best decision of the d̶a̶y̶ weekend. Atmosphere-wise, it reminds me of restaurants in Colombia — I especially like that the kitchen is visible and not hidden in the back so you can see the work they put into the food if you like. The owner was very friendly and helpful on what we might like based on our appetite & preferences. Fooood. We got two arepas and a Cachapa. At first, i thought the arepas were a bit expensive but when we got them and i saw how big and packed they were, i understood why they were priced as such—and even then i would probably be willing to pay more based on taste. One is enough per person in my opinion. The Cachapa I got with pulled beef BUT if you are going to try the cachapa, i recommend you get it with only cheese(as the owner recommended but i was really craving the beef). With only cheese you can really taste the outstanding flavour. We will definitely be coming whenever we pass by Welland in the future, no questions asked.
