Outlet Furniture Liquidation

I bought a couch back in July as well as put a deposit down for a bed frame. Due to financial struggles I called and asked on wednesday of last week if I could please pick up my deposit brook on the phone told me I could pay the remainder balance by the end of November or get my deposit back which was 250.00 dollars. Upon driving 40 minutes down to hartzel road from fort erie I was then told no. To come up with the remaining balance and come back and get the bed. I stated that I am financially struggling currently and it was repeated to me to come up with the money and come back and get the bed otherwise too bad. I then was met with gas lighting and told no she did not say that from the husband who majority of the time is not in the store. I have proof of the phone call on my call log. He then proceeded to hang up on me as when my boyfriend went in their interaction did not go well so i called to try to have a civilized conversation. I needed that money for my 9 year old daughters birthday this weekend and would not have drove down 40 minutes each way had I been told I could not get the deposit back. 250 dollars may be small to you guys as well as the 400 and change remaining on the balance but that is something big to myself and my kids. I have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor since I got my place because of continous unforseeable events happening and taking care of my 3 kids matters way more then if I have a bed frame or not. I have sent a few others to this store and have purchased several items previously from them years ago. I am heart broken and saddened that instead of dealing with a current customer , I was hung up on , spoken over and out right lied to because new customers were in the store looking around. Never at any time was there any disclosure of no return , no refund or any supposed 90 day policy. This store has also previously "closed " twice before just to re open by the same couple , with a temporary print off of a "new name and re brand ". I do believe had i had went in when just Brook was there (the wife) the interaction would have went differently and she knows what was said to my boyfriend over the phone last wednesday which I heard the entire interaction as it was on speaker phone. Thank you for wasting my time and being lied to as well as gas that I already did not have to get down there in the first place. Do you think someone enjoys having to admit when they are financially struggling to total strangers ? No. That alone was stressful.

I popped into the store on Saturday, July 20 and in a relatively short time Jonathan had helped me find a (reasonably priced) double bed, mattress, and box spring for the guest room of our new home in St. Catharines. The same-day delivery cost was very reasonable. The staff here know their products and they are super friendly and really customer-focussed. We'll be heading back soon to buy a couple of loveseats for our downstairs family room. I highly recommend Surplus Furniture & Mattress Warehouse!

We have purchased furniture from Brooks Furniture 3 times over the years, most recently today! We love their show room, quality/selection & most importantly their customer service is excellent! They always greet you with a smile, are extremely helpful and not even a little bit pushy! We will definitely be buying furniture there again...but right now we have 2 living rooms stocked with their pieces :)

I bought a great quality bedroom set for a steal of a deal. Good service in store. Delivery was on time. Very nice guys- took their wet boots off to carry in the furniture, which was unexpected. Also they were super quick and eficient. Nothing but good reviews all around. Will definitely return to this store in the future.

Had to buy a couch last minute for the holiday season. Went in close to closing time and was initially worried about being the only customer in the store (you know how aggressive sales can be). I was pleasantly surprised and found a nice couch for a nice price! Knowing the timeline I was requiring to have the couch delivered, I was again impressed when Brooks was able to get a delivery driver lined up for a next day delivery. Thanks again for the experience!
