A week ago we had to make the difficult decision to put our sweet girl, Shylo, to rest. We called them in shambles and we were talked to calmly and compassionately. When we arrived Krystal met us at the door with endless hugs for both us and Shylo. Krystal is honestly made for this job. Her calm voice and caring words supported us in a way that we simply can’t put into words. All the staff took the time to give our girl plenty of treats, hugs, and kisses. You could feel how much every single member of the staff cared not only about us but about our dog. They took the time to explain everything to us, not rush any step, and hear our dog’s life story. They acted and spoke in a professional manner with genuine compassion. I cannot stress enough how compassionate and caring their team was. They truly made the worst night of our lives a bit more bearable. Thank you so much to all of you!
View on GoogleWe had a wonderful experience taking Ace here today. We woke up to him unable to use his back legs and these wonderful ladies helped us with such care and kindness. In an emergency we would 100% recommend to go here. They made a scary experience much more manageable by breaking everything down for us and taking their time walking us through our next steps.
View on GoogleHad to bring our three GSPs to the vet for a possible ingestion of a toxic substance. The staff and the vet on call were great! They quickly took the dogs in for treatment and all went well back home now and the pups are resting. It is reassuring having professional help available and close by and didn’t cost an arm and leg.
View on GoogleOur cat, Storm, was diagnosed with an aggressive nasal tumor this past summer. Though we knew our time was limited, nothing prepares you for the sudden neurological crisis he faced at 6:00 AM on Friday. In our moment of panic, the Niagara Veterinary Emergency Clinic was a beacon of light. They were waiting for us at the door, and seeing Storm’s distress, they acted with immediate grace by administering a sedative to ease his pain. They settled us into a peaceful, dimly lit room where I could hold Storm on my lap one last time. I am profoundly grateful to the staff for their dignity, kindness, and compassion during such a heartbreaking morning. They turned a nightmare into a peaceful goodbye.
View on GoogleWe showed up at around 6:30 last night as my dog came back from outside with two horrible lacerations on the top of his foot that would just NOT stop bleeding. As soon as we walked in the door, my dog was taken in the back and evaluated. They cleaned up his paw and explained what the plan of action was. After about a 2 hour wait (as stitches are seen as a tier 3 emergency meaning not immediate) they came in, gave him some medication to knock him out and sent us home. We came back about an hour or so later and my guy was all stitched up and ready to come home! Everyone from the Vet Techs, Surgeons to the Desk Clerks were all amazingly friendly and their upbeat attitudes kept us positive. This is an animal emergency room so the most severe cases will be seen first, as it should be. I suggest bringing some things to keep you entertained for your wait but the staff will literally provide you with anything else you need while you wait. Even a cott. We had a wonderful experience considering why we were there. I will definitely be suggesting them to anyone in need of emergency care for their pet. Thank you Niagara Veterinary Emergency Clinic!
