I normally do not leave negative reviews, especially for medical offices, but my experience with the staff at Niagara Urology Associates was honestly one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I’ve had dealing with a healthcare clinic. I was referred to this office by a doctor from Niagara General Hospital regarding an ongoing issue that has been causing me a significant amount of pain and discomfort. This is not some minor issue. There are times where the pain becomes so bad that it makes it difficult for me to walk properly or even go about my day comfortably. As a 22-year-old dealing with something like this, I know it’s not something that should be taken lightly, which is exactly why I was trying so hard to get in contact with the office regarding my appointment. I was trying to contact the office regarding my appointment for the 2ND DAY IN A ROW and called multiple times during the exact hours their automated phone system says they answer calls (9am-12pm) Tuesdays and (9am–3pm) on Wednesday. Not once did anyone pick up. After several unanswered calls, it was obvious that the receptionist had taken the phone off the hook because every time I tried calling back, there was still no ring or response. At this point, I had already called around 10 times just trying to speak to somebody for less than two minutes. What made the situation even more frustrating was that after I finally called another extension, I suddenly received a call back. Not to apologize for the missed calls or help resolve the issue, but simply to tell me the receptionist (the woman speaking to me) was “on break.” If staff are unavailable or on break, that’s completely understandable, but patients should not have to repeatedly call a medical office over and over with zero communication. A simple voicemail update, automated message, or even answering once to explain the situation would have avoided all of this frustration. The entire interaction came across as extremely disorganized, dismissive, and unprofessional. When people are contacting a urology office, it’s usually because they’re already stressed, uncomfortable, embarrassed, or dealing with serious health concerns. The last thing patients should have to deal with is being ignored and treated like they’re an inconvenience for simply trying to get basic information about their care. I ended up canceling my appointment because the experience with the front desk completely destroyed my confidence in the office. Communication and professionalism matter, especially in healthcare, and unfortunately this office failed badly in both areas during my experience. After reading other reviews online, it honestly seems like this is an ongoing issue that management seriously needs to address. I hope the office improves because patients deserve much better communication, urgency, respect, and organization than what I experienced. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE AND GO HERE!

I saw Dr Dion for a Cystoscopy and a few days later my perennial area swelled up so bad that I was in and out of emergency departments. She refused to see me or take responsibility. This place is a friggin joke, go elsewhere, they gaslight you and lie to your face!!

I am finally free of my urinary problems, I hope to be prescribed with a catheter so more freedom of having to urinate at the most accurate and correct time has no more waiting time like a developmental services waiting list. If I get a catheter than I get to say FREEEEEEEEEEDOM!!! and victory freedom peace and harmony. And then Peter Bonsu will have to think to himself after he retired and left my little brother helpless after receiving his diagnosis of ADHD and ODD and left him with no medication, did this Buspar 5mgs three or four times really work for him at all? Instead of being arrogant black midget and said it did after so much bus reports and several behavioral issues and the scope of urinary retention and extremely bad frequentcy of urination
