We love our normal driver (Miles and his wife) & the bus aide. They are great. 5 stars for them. However, this morning we got an email saying the bus would be 30 minutes late. 45 minutes after the bus was supposed to show, it finally did. I was extremely disappointed when the sustitute aide told me there are NO SEATBELTS on this bus! I was told this was a back up bus since the other had broken down. No seatbelts on any bus is unacceptable. Shame on you for putting our children in danger.
View on GoogleI am concerned about the level of care shown by the bus driver for my daughter’s school bus. Last week, my daughter forgot her winter jacket on the bus, and although the driver found it, he did not keep it safe for the next day. He later told us that someone may have taken it because it looked like a nice jacket. This is unacceptable, especially when it involves a child’s essential winter clothing. I urge the transportation service to review the lost and found procedures to prevent this from happening again.
View on GoogleTerrible system outdated. People need to go see what other regions in ontario are doing. Niagara NSTS is living in the 1900s and even then it was probably more child centered back then then it is now. Bus comes in front of my house. Picks up my jk/sk kids. Then suddenly my son goes to gr 1 and he must walk lol. And his 4 year old brother will bus. Even tho the bus (with 7 kids on it and seating for 30+) literally stops.. picks my son up...and says the 6 year old is too old and must walk. I get it if the bus was full and more kids were a priority. But other regions allow courtesy bus spots. Which families can use until other more necessary kids need those spots. Seriously nsts whoever manages and runs these policies needs to go do some field research and ask other regions how they are effectively running more efficient bussing systems. Ours is an absolute failure.
View on GoogleHorrible. Late pick up times and drop off times, speeds down my road breaking last minute to get me, has speed by me MULTIPLE times. Has drove off while I'm still standing on the bus. And anytime I've contacted NSTS they said it's because it's a new bus driver. They don't care about student safety, as well as my driver CONSTANTLY having 3-4 kids who aren't on the bus, on the bus. Ages vary. Yet someone who she's let on 5 times she suddenly is saying no longer can come on the bus?? Missed my stop then asks me to walk back to my stop because she's already late?? Horrible drivers. And horrible customer service.
View on GoogleNo surprise the rating for this organization is so low, already. My experience has been no different. Touting guidelines which maintain and ensure consistency for "all families", and standing so ridiculously staunchly to the rules, and then picking up and dropping of my children LATE more than half of the time...... Give your heads a shake 🤦🏻♀️ We had the most simple, and non impacting (actually, more likely would have been an improvement) request to change a stop. This request came from a total of 3 families who currently use the bus stop. The request was to move the stop so that the bus would go down a parallel neighbourhood road to where it was already driving, and then it would pop back out and continue on it's regular route. This organization have proven themselves to be as bureaucratic and unreasonable as they are heartless. Extremely disappointed to say the least. I will be sure to followup with them quite diligently about the amount of instances the bus is late for the remainder of the year. Like a commenter said above, if you're always going to be late, then change the darn schedule already! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out!
