The NPCA did not respond to my numerous emails and a phone call.
View on GoogleI've wanted to leave a review for a long time now. Been supporting Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority parks for 43 years (mostly Chippawa Creek Conservation Area) and I cannot believe the price gouging they are doing. -It's almost $25.00 for a family of three to just go fishing for a few hours. -Not sure why an unserviced tent site is between $10.00/$20.00 per night MORE than Ontario Parks and privately run camping parks. -Cannot even wet a line at St. John's Consevation Area anymore without paying to access. -Charging $134.83 plus HST for a 12 month membership pass it ridiculous. You are better off to not bother with the NPCA annual pass and go with an Ontario Parks pass. $99.99 plus HST and you can access 30 parks within a three hour radius of the Niagara Region.
View on GoogleOn Saturday, September 30th we visited Balls Falls conservation with our grandson. We enjoy Balls Falls regularly but this time we were disappointed as ALL the buildings were locked but you still charge regular price and parking - it makes it an expensive walk!
View on GoogleI shared my concerns about the four Mile Creek dam affecting spawning of local salmon and getting caught in the dam. I received a very jaded response that this is how it's been since the 60's when the dam was built and it is what it is. That is not a sufficient answer for what is supposed to be a local conservation authority. Very disappointing first experience with them and I can see why they have a 2.7 star review. Niagara has a dim future with this group of "I could care less" mentality.
View on GoogleI Love Being part of NPCA by buying a hunting permit to hunt different locations, and this year my younger son who is 13 just received his Hunting license So we will both be hunting and enjoying these properties full of different critters .... Again NPCA, thanks for everything you do ....
