Niagara On the Lake Municipal Office

I’m glad that Betty Disero , the career politician from Toronto lost the last election. She has come to this town & tried to change everything about it. Now it’s time to see if a local, Greg Zalepa will do a better job. My one big grievance is about parking. The Town pay’s parking enforcement to go out on Statutory holidays to give tickets. First, as a taxpayer why am I paying OT for this? Second why are tickets in old town cheaper than in my area? This policy is garbage. Also, I live on Niagara on the Green and there are different parking rules for both sides of the area. Last I checked we pay the same property tax.

We have had a car parked on the street in front of our house which is partially blocking our driveway by a sign that clearly says you cannot park beyond this spot. Called parking enforcement twice now. They came quite quickly ticketed the car. Came the second time, looked at the car took photos and this car still there. We can barely get into our driveway especially since it now has snowed. This car has been there going on 3 days now!!!! Really do not know what to do

0/5 stars goes to the town’s parking office. I am an essential health care worker, and they gave me a parking ticket after months of parking in the same spot every other day for 30 mins max. I have explained the situation to the officer and no remorse was shown. Shame on the town for ticketing a nurse for visiting their patient.
