Niagara Falls Lightning Gymnastic Club

We have been at the gym for almost 4 years now. We are entering our 2nd year of the competitive season. This gymnastics club has truly transformed my child into an incredible athlete, both physically and mentally. Her confidence has soared, and she’s developed such amazing strength, discipline, and determination. Coach Sasha deserves special recognition for the genuine love and dedication she shows her gymnasts. It’s clear she believes in every child she coaches.

We’ve been at this gym for about 4 years now, and have had a phenomenal experience the entire time. We started in recreational classes and were impressed with the coaches, overall facility and activities/skills planned for the group. We also hosted our daughter’s birthday party here in 2022 - great experience and pricing (seriously, it’s the best bang for your buck around!). This year, we switched to the competitive program and are even more impressed. The head coaches, Andrei and Val, are absolutely amazing, as is Sasha. They all care so much about the athletes in the program, as well as the success of the program as a whole. We have recommended this program to other athletes and will continue to do so. We also have experience at other gyms and none of them compare to here. There are plenty of options that would be closer and more convenient, but we will continue to go the extra mile for this gym, because they go the extra mile for their athletes.

Daughter went into competition classes and due to family hardships she couldn't attend anymore and she went to 2 classes and they refuse to refund the money and she didn't even attend one of the months and even after they were informed she wouldn't attend they tried again to take money out 3 times afterwards. This is supposed to be non-profit organization. It's crimal that they'd keep over $500 for her not to attend and then they took a huge break and still charged a full month. I thought this place actually cared but it seems to be they want money and nothing else.

Gym is in great condition and kept very clean. Enrolled my 18 month old in the 18 month - 3 year old program and was disappointed with the classes structure and designed circuits. This class was more suitable to the 2.5 - 3 year old participants and was not tailored to the younger participants. 90% of the activities run for the group were well out of my child's capabilities. Understanding that there is a benefit to introducing some concepts young, if a program is advertised to a younger age group I would hope they could complete at least 50% of the activities given. Some of the many activities instructed were jumping across a rope on the ground (a skill that develops between two and three years old), holding a bar with hands while swinging legs to wrap around another bar with feet, holding themselves up on a rope, bear crawling with hands and feet both on poles (my child had just learned how to bear crawl on the ground), side shuffle with hands on the ground and feet up on a block, and completing a standing somersault. Other gyms advertising to 18 month - 2 year olds offer activities within their capabilities, social time, and free play. I recommend that this program be reassessed by Lightning Gymnastics.

I wanted to share some new pictures of the recent renovations! Been at the gym for around 5 years, and the new space is just wonderful. The staff are great, athletes have a fun time learning, and there is a great community here. Lightning Gymnastics now has a party room, changeroom, multiple washrooms, a space to hang coats and boots, and a viewing area with comfy chairs (and guest wifi) for when restrictions allow! Excited to see new faces in the gym now that we are back!
