Niagara Catholic District School Board

I attended what is now St. Teresa of Calcutta when it was Mother Teresa Catholic School and Saint Francis Catholic Secondary School. Growing up and obtaining an education from this school board was a wonderful experience. More recently I had the wonderful opportunity to learn from the amazing teachers at Our Lady of Fatima in St. Catharines as I completed my placement at Teacher's College. Being a part of the NCDSB family again was a great opportunity to make fantastic connections with the wonderful teachers and staff at Our Lady of Fatima.
View on GoogleI attended Our Lady of Fatima, PK Kerwin then Denis Morris. I have four children who attended St Mary Elementary and who all graduated from St Paul High School. I have nothing but the highest praise for the NCDSB on every level. When I moved from Scotland..the first school I attended was Our Lady of Fatima in St. Catharines. A good deal of the staff were Nuns..one of those Nuns..Sister Conrad was my grade 4 teacher. She immediatly made me feel so welcome. She was very popular..since she liked my very thick Scottish accent, all the other students seemed to follow her lead. My children as well have nothing but the highest praise regarding their times at St. Mary and St Paul. As an aside I produce musicals at the Convention Centre. The productions involve proffessionals as well as children from my Musical Theatre Academy. There are over 110 children who attend the Academy who are part of the NCDSB. The Catholic Board in Niagara has been so supportive of the arts in general and of my productions specifically. For those things I'm certainly grateful. I'm now a grandfather and I'm sure my grandchildren will continue supporting the NCDSB. So from this former student, I am happy to give the highest marks and a 5 star rating to the NCDSB

View on GoogleAs a Niagara Catholic teacher, I can attest to the fact that we are lifelong learners with the goal of advancing student achievement and well-being for all in a Christ-centered Catholic faith community. The French Immersion program is also outstanding!!
View on GoogleTerrible communication, lack of professionalism, unfair, and do not consider well being of family members or students! Policies need to be updated to consider health of family members especially those younger who will be entering the care of the NDSB in future years with siblings currently in the catholic system. Poor responses and disrespectful. Staff members should be looking at the bigger picture and not be so small minded. If my two oldest weren't already in their system I would consider public.
