I ordered a tent from an unnamed supplier and ended up getting the wrong tent in the right bag. Contacted Napier directly and after giving them proof of purchase and a couple of numbers they are sending me the correct tent. If you enjoy camping and own a pickup, quality product at a reasonable price.
View on GoogleA unexpected summer storm came upon me while sleeping in my napier tent in pickup box,I experienced 75 mph wind for a hour, fearful for what's going on outside my tent.three days later I am still here and my tent is well also, no damage at all, I can not find words for how GREAT the Napier tent is ,SIMPLY LOVE IT...
View on GoogleI love my Napier Backroadz SUV tent. With the option to sleep in the tent or the SUV it’s the perfect solution for me as a solo camper with my dog. The downside side is that this tent has 2 x 22’ poles and it’s challenging to set up with one person. I broke numerous poles this summer and the company replaced them within a week. And when I complained about the set up the company communicated within a day and we found a solution. 10+ stars for customer service and product quality.
View on GoogleEDTI: I have received contact from Napier and have submitted the warranty. Will update once I hear more. EDIT 2: I have received the replacement items and have not had a chance to check if this is more waterproof. I wanted so badly to love the Backroadz hatch tent that I purchased September 2022 brand new. I am a K9 Search and Rescue volunteer and I travel a lot by myself. As a volunteer, we pay all our own travel and accomodations. I have a Toyota 4 Runner so after a lot of research I purchased the Backroadz tent; I wanted something I could hook up to the car because my K9 is crated in the back and that way we are in the same "room". I have used it for a total of (3) two day weekends. Weekend 1 was GREAT! I loved the roomy tent and it was so fun to camp in. It is a bit hard to set up w/ one person (I am 5ft 5in) but I could have overlooked that w/o the other issues. Also, that first weekend the weather was georgous and no rain. Weekend 2 we had some light rain and the tent leaked a bit at the seams (specifically where the plastic bottom attaches to the tent) so I decided to reseal once I returned home. Also, weekend 2 one of the tent poles split. Last weekend was a nightmare. The rain started while we were out training on day 1 so I was unaware that the seams were continuing to leak and caused the floor of the tent to become a huge puddle, and subsequently hundreds of dollars of gear and equipment were soaked. By the last morning I was literally walking in 1 inch of water on the floor of the tent. When I looked closer at the seams they create a cup/channel that the rain just sits in so I am guessing that is why they continue to leak. I almost threw the tent in the dumpster but decided that I can at least bring it home, clean it up and give it away to someone who may be able to use it in nice weather.
View on GoogleAlways wanted a hatch tent for my Honda Element but didn't want to pay the dealer price. Finally found a great alternative through Napier Outdoors. Went down to see the people in St. Catharines and was able to test-fit one of their tents prior to purchase. Just love this tent. It is the Sportz Cove 61500 model and fits well on the Element; a little tight around the lower door but haven't had any issues with the seams or zippers tearing. A much better price than Honda dealer. It makes a great difference getting that extra two feet of space in the back of the Element versus trying to sleep with the rear doors closed. Held up to a storm on the first occasion of use. Have loads of people stopping and asking about it.
