I had a complicated electrical issue with my 2014 Chevrolet Traverse that was causing Traction Control, StabiliTrak warnings and occasional stalling while driving. It took some time to track down the real cause, but the team at Shawn Auto NAPA kept working on the problem and were very fair throughout the process. In the end they discovered that the issue was corrosion under the fuse box and on the wiring, cleaned everything properly, and the problem has not returned so far. What I really appreciated was their honesty and business ethics. When I brought the vehicle back again, they did not charge me for additional diagnostics, fixed the corrosion issue, and even provided a loaner vehicle for a few days while my car was being worked on. Another mechanic I visited before was not able to find the problem at all, so I really appreciate that these guys stayed persistent and eventually solved it. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Shawn Auto NAPA. So far they are one of the best auto repair shops I’ve dealt with in this area.

Called in to see if I could have my alternator tested after changing my car battery. They let me come in right away for a quick testing. The 2 staff members i talked to were really helpful. I will be taking my business to this shop for any car troubles.

I would like to start off by saying I am beyond happy with the service I have received in the last two years at Shawn’s auto In Smithville. My husband passed away almost 2 years ago now and took care of all of the vehicles as he was a trained mechanic himself so I never had to worry about car maintenance. Once he passed away, I was faced with so many challenges, including maintenance of all our vehicles, and also to help my teen boys who were just now getting into vehicles of their own. I felt helpless and didn’t know what I was doing with these vehicles. We have an RV that I have been trying to put up for sale, but it had an engine light on and I couldn’t sell it in that condition. Ford discovery in Burlington soaked me for over $5000 to try and fix the problem which ended up not fixing the problem, I brought the vehicle to Shawn and he had it Diagnosed and fixed within a week. I am forever grateful to Shawn and his wife. We have now been repeat customers for the last two years with all four vehicles and will continue to only go to him from now on. He is honest and genuine. His wife is always extremely helpful when booking me in and the staff there are always most helpful explaining the problem when I don’t understand🫣 I find their prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other places in or near Smithville. There are always extremely friendly when you go in there. I now completely trust whatever they tell me is wrong with my vehicles and it is the only place I will continue to go to. My Wife and I have come here numerous times, and price, quality and service are always fantastic. We’ve referred friends for jobs big and small and they’ve always had great results. Honest assessment from mechanics are so hard to come by sometimes, but Shawn has been honest, and informative every time and still treats us the same since day one!
