Mr. Lube + Tires

I had a great experience at Mr. Lube. The staff were professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly and didn’t pressure me into any unnecessary services. The oil change was done quickly, and they even checked my tire pressure and other fluids as part of the service. What I really appreciated was how transparent they were about pricing — no surprises at checkout. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and I was in and out faster than expected. I highly recommend Mr. Lube to anyone looking for fast, reliable, and honest vehicle maintenance. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Came in for engine oil and transmission fluid change for civic 2017.They upsold brake fluid and other services because I was driving 9–10 hours north. Total came to around $550. The same evening, my car started slipping — RPM goes up but the car doesn’t move properly. Before their service, the transmission was fine. When I called back, they said either drive 6–7 hours back to their location or pay another mechanic for an inspection, get a note saying it’s their fault, and then they will think about it. If you’re not confident doing transmission work, don’t do it. Now I’m stuck with a problem after spending so much money. Poor quality and zero responsibility. Not recommended.

Visited the St. Cathartines location yesterday. The stuff is very professional and very friendly. BUT... I am on a strict budget and called ahead of time to find out the cost of the oil change. Upon getting a price of $95.99 I was happy with it and proceed to the store for the service. Once inside I was told that my oil was very dirty (although I get all my oil changes on time, every time) and needed an engine flush. Without getting a clear go ahead from me the technician proceeded with the service and told me it will be additional $62.98. I was a bit taken a back but trusted his expertise. Then I was told that I needed new cabin and air filters which would be additional $35 each and another service I don't remember at of course additional charge. I declined both services only to be told that they NEED to be done asap. I stood firm as I couldn't spend any more money. So my $95.99 service ended up costing me $205 which was way over my original budget. If you have the money to spend, go there, you won't be disappointed. But if you are on a budget, don't !!!!!!
