Stopped in today on a snowy day just to take a peep around before heading home. We were pleasantly surprised by the kind owners. It felt like I was visiting family and after a few minutes, I was ready to start looking at homes in the area. They have phenomenal chocolate and an amazing homemade chocolate cinnamon bun! My favorite was the chocolate filled with soursop jam. I felt like I was in the Caribbean.

Please stop in and grab a hot chocolate. You won’t be disappointed. We ordered the vanilla Mexican hot chocolate-to go. It was decadent and I’d recommend it to everyone, however, it lacked the flavour of cinnamon (which is very present in Mexican hot chocolate). This is not typical hot chocolate , it’s thicker, less sweet and extremely chocolatey. The lack of cinnamon, may be at my fault for not ordering it correctly. I’m accustomed to pure dark chocolate pucks, laced in cinnamon and chili powder. The store had a number of chocolate pucks, brown Mexican mugs and two different sized Molinillo (small and large). This is impressive for the area because these items are difficult to find. The owners are very kind and a pleasure to speak with. You can see how much passion they have for their work. The store is inside a beautiful and historical house (not accessible if in wheelchair fyi). I don’t think it can be altered. However, the owners will accommodate you any way they can. They would go beyond their duties to get you that delicious hot chocolate. Next time you are strolling along the village, please make a stop here and support this establishment. Go around the world for chocolate, in one magical store. Tip: This is by far, one of the best hot chocolate drinks, I’ve ever had in this region. Their Mexican hot chocolate is not champurrado. Please do not confuse the two.

My very good friend and I love to go to different places for lunch then scout out quaint shops. We ended up coming to this very lovely very quaint shop in Ridgeway which was built circa 1879 for the Discher family. It’s now a Designated Architectural Heritage Site. Inside the house we were amazed at the selection of handmade, imported chocolate everything from fruit, nut, and chili infused, so many more. You can also get baked goods and hot drinks to go. The back of the shop is dedicated to soft serve ice cream, cup or cone, sundaes, gelato, sorbet etc,. I had a small soft serve in a cup with an oh so yummy chocolate from the main shop. Yummy!! My friend had a sundae, so good in a very hot humid day. We sat on comfy Muskoka chairs under beautiful trees for shade thoroughly enjoying our treats. We went back inside for my friend to buy a couple of chocolate bars for his mum. I highly recommend this little gem tucked away in one of my favorite places Ridgeway. We’ll definitely be back. Lovely welcoming owners. The lovely lady, heck I forget her name, is a wealth of knowledgeable when it comes chocolates. You don’t know what to buy she will definitely recommend the best. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Patrick is the real deal. His love for chocolate is admirable. The atmosphere in the shop is great. I bought every fresh product they made that morning (chocolate croissant, brownie, cinnamon roll, and Death by Chocolate cookies) they were all incredible.

This place has an amazing variety of chocolates and treats —even vegan chocolate! I really recommend the cinnamon bun! It’s baked fresh and to die for!! The owners are just as sweet as their chocolate, and gave us a whole tour of the place! They were so kind and funny, and really went the extra mile! We will definitely be back!!!
