Mindbomb Records

Fantastic little record store with a decent amount of new releases. Prices for vinyl are excellent and staff are friendly and helpful. Only new vinyl though.

Went shopping with a friend on new years eve, we spent over 100 dollars in the shop and when my friend asked for a bag the clerk informed us that bags were only for bigger orders. She politely asked to pay for the bag, if it was too big of an inconvenience to give her the handle bag for free. He then rolled her eyes when she went to reach for the bag that was begrudgingly handed over. My friend has a limb difference, and was made to feel like a burden after offering to pay for a handled bag. So thankful this genuinely upsetting experience happened on news years eve and we get to leave that experience in 2025. I know small businesses don’t usually do ableism seminars but maybe that’s a good way to start your 2026. I think I am going to mad about this forever.

Mindbomb is a local gem. They have a fantastic cross genre selection, with good finds for lovers of different styles. Super friendly and helpful when you order records through them. St Catharines is lucky to have them!

Mindbomb opened at 8am on the morning of April 12th, (10th anniversary of them participating in Record Store Day) to a long line up of fans who waited patiently. The event was well organized and they even served delicious donuts to their customers after 8am. Staff of Mindbomb were incredible and friendly and helpful.

Ordered a record for in store pick up. Was giving a slightly different version of it. Called and asked if I could get the one I originally ordered. Store says yes, we’ll hold it for 24hrs for an exchange. Come in the next day and they’ve sold the record to someone else. Mind you, it was their mistake in the first place. Take your money elsewhere. They sell good records but have ZERO customer service skills.
