Merritville Speedway

Fun for the whole family! April to October, every year! Dirt track racing including (4cyl mini stocks, hoosier stocks (street stock class), mod lites, Sportsman's, 358 Modifieds, Winged Sprint Cars, Go Karts, annual enduros, weekly car shows, Easter Egg Hunt and so much more! Out front at Merrittville Eats you will find spectacular food for Lunch, Dinner and Dessert! Everyday of the week is a great day to visit Merrittville Speedway!

We visited the Monster Truck show. It was the second of three shows. The motorcycle demo was good but because of the wet weather some of the jumps were cancelled due to slippery conditions. A monster truck was eliminated from the second show due to repairs from the first show. During the freestyle event three more trucks needed repairs. This was a well attended show with maybe 3000 people in the stands. It was a bit late starting, many delays and a long intermission. I felt it could have been tightened up a bit for a better experience and more action.

It's a good track but if you use headphones that connect to the radio station the commentators are on you can hear 2 music stations as well so it's not the best. The also take 1 hour break to clean the track at intermission but I might be a little biased because I like ohsweken Speedway.

normal racing nights are a fun and exciting experience but if you can make it to wreckfest DO IT. 4 hours of wacky car racing fun. the food is good and very reasonably priced. it's easy to get a good seat, higher up is usually better. it's an inexpensive and fun evening out, remember to bring earplugs though for a more enjoyable time.

Inconsistent pricing for promotions. Bring hearing and eye protection. All seats are fantastic for watching the races. Concessions stand prices are okay. Washrooms are clean. Garbage is kept at a minimum. No free WiFi. Parking lot is tight and can be busy on exit.
