I had the pleasure of dealing with Brandon Guay at this branch regarding a mortgage and legal matter and I found him to be very informative, knowledgeable, and professional. Additionally, he was able to assist me without an appointment and offered as much time as was necessary to not only explain, but to also liaise with others within the bank to corroborate a proper response. I highly recommend his services, he is a Financial Services Associate. I like to distinguish those who are willing to provide their professional opinion, support, and most importantly their time, even when the subject at hand does not directly benefit them in any way. I highly recommend his services and in future, will surely be dealing with him for any banking matter at Meridian Credit Union. Thanks for all your help Brandon, you will be very successful in your career with a mindset and willingness to help others.

Arguing with a customer or member it's not professional I can only deal with one person at my home branch and if i didn't have so much tied to my account and have to move I would left long time ago . I don't like how I transfered money and "someone" transfered it back and wasn't me so that worries me . I was told it was computer error every place I have a issue now they don't blame people now they blame "computers" . The business owns the computers so in reality it's there fault lol . I've had many issues but what really bothers me is that a director of customer service at head office in Toronto Purolatored a letter stating there going to close my account without my authorization. I did not request to close anything. This to me is evidence of guilt. Then says I'm tresspasses from meridians but I'm a member of and part owner of meridian that's what the dollar share is for . As part owner of meridian I can not be trespassed. Worries me how unprofessional this bank is seems immature not to help resolve my issues with my account then blame individuals or computers over and over never getting results of important issues happening to my account. Letter was sent after I posted a review on Dec 7th . This corporation spent member money to send me a letter because of my opinion and because of the the unauthorized issues with my account would rather close my account then fix the problem as a native american I've seen and witness the difference on how me and individuals close to me experienced here . Some people are helpful at meridian but others shouldn't be working in customer service it's no way to treat a consumer or a member who has witness important issues to my banking that was never resolved and would rather rid the "problem" then fix it . If I had alot of money I'm sure the services I would get would be above and beyond and not what I've experienced.
View on GoogleMy father was diagnosed with onset dementia. He was able to remain in his home for a few years. During this time we set up as much online payments as we could. He then became of resident of Shalom Manor and eventually passed away. During these years I was able to manage everything from overseas (as I live in The Netherlands) because the staff were professional, knowledgeable and kind. At a time where you seem to be a mere number at many financial institutions they consistently treated us as valued clients. Highly recommend!
View on GoogleVery empty most of the time. Pretty quick and prompt service. The chequing accounts though are very noncompetitive with $1 transaction fees unless you store $2000, are age 18-29 or go for the $12 account. Granted, TD and CIBC and Scotia require $5000, $6000 and $4000 for their premium accounts but give more privileges such as free credit card rebates, insurances, etc. The online account intefaces and UI are pretty decent but, once again, your better options are with tangerine, EQ bank or some other online bank that gives 2.45% interest or better and have no transaction or interac fees.
View on GoogleI have a business and personal account. This branch serves my needs very quickly. Never a wait. The gentlemen in glasses is excellent but so are the ladies! You will be glad you switched banks!
