It is my first and mostly use financial institution is Meridian Credit Union. All my mortgages and savings with Meridian, customer service absolutely much better than any other financial institutions especially comparing with the banks. Myself and my family members, we are happy with Meridian and strongly suggest to everyone
View on GoogleBe careful using the drive-thru ABM at this location. I have had issues more than once. On my most recent visit, I attempted to make a deposit. The ABM froze, and it would not give me my debit card or my money back, and would not confirm whether or not the deposit was successful or not. Thankfully, this was during business hours, so I went in and told them what happened. They retrieved my card and told me the deposit was successful. But there was $10 missing. I was told that the additional $10 would likely post to my account on Monday (it hasn't). The manager didn't seem to care too much and didn't even apologize. I know we are only talking about $10, but the amount is irrelevant. She either didn't care because it was such a small amount or just didn't believe me. There is a camera on the ABM that can confirm the $10 is missing, but she shrugged it off, and I guess telling me to check on Monday was easier than actually fixing the issue. Why would all of the money be deposited at that moment, except $10? Seems like she just wanted to get rid of me. Have come to expect that from this branch. Use them at your own risk!
View on GoogleCalled ahead before going to identify myself after opening an account online only when arrived the doors were closed but the business was open and did not allow us in. So first experience was a bit of hassle... not sure how opening an account online is more convenient when you have to go in book appointment to open account anyway... however all that being said. When appointment was booked and was able to sit with someone she was very helpful, respectful, nice and informative....she actually seemed like she liked her job 🙃

Just improve on the management & culture at this branch, please! Again: Less talk, and more action, please! All that being said, I remain thankful to everyone at Meridian who has helped take care of my financial matters for over a decade now, in the Niagara Region and Toronto 🙏
View on GoogleWe were looking to move our accounts from a bank and open an additional account with Meridian. We were even looking at mortgage options for our renewal next year. We applied for a credit card for which we were denied based on information the financial adviser already had, but did not realize would be a factor in the approval process. Ultimately, he said he would escalate the matter and call us back. He never did. We will now stay with our current bank and will not be considering Meridian for our mortgage.
