I went to ask the lifeguard to do a swim test for my grandson so he could swim in the deep end. All 5 lifeguards were sitting in the office with their faces burried in their phones. My grandson was instructed to tread water for 45 seconds without touching the bottom...which he did...then was instructed to swim approx 50m to the first chair and then back without lifting his face out of the water.....which he did. The lifeguard then proceeds to tell my grandson he failed. What my grandson was not told was that he couldn't touch the side of the pool at anytime. All he did was push himself off the side of the pool. It's not the Olympics people!! Also the website states you are open until 8....the whistle blew at 5:55pm!!!

Beautiful new pool. Perfect for families. There is a smaller deep end most of the pool is mostly shallow and about 4ft. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The washrooms and change rooms are roomy and secure. They have lockers for you to use for free, you just need to bring your own lock. Perfect for a summer swim on a hot day for free.

There’s a whole lot wrong with this facility when it comes to the lifeguards. Three active swimmers crying because they didn’t pass the swim test. One kid stood up a foot from the wall thinking he was done the test and didn’t touch the wall before his stood up. Failed. Another failed because the lifeguard didn’t take the time to explain the swim test properly so when she jumped in she swam instead of treading water. The rules are contradicting seeing as how my husband would fail the swim test but had to be an arms length away from his kid. I just haven’t ever heard of parents bringing their kids to a public pool to kill them? Seems to me they need to put more faith in the parents who bring their kids to a public to to “swim” Another life guard was on a power trip when the pool closed at 4. Granted we had no idea they closed for an hour so when she started yelling at us we were taken off guard. Just a bunch of miserable young leaders with too much authority and lack of character. Bring in some adults.

Nice pool. Lifeguards not friendly. Child did swim test as he has many times before and passed and they failed him bc he did back crawl. Asked if he could do it again she said no and walked away. So he had to stay in the shallow water while his friends were able to jump off the board. Years back lifeguards were fun and friendly this bunch not so much.
