MedCare Clinics at South Pelham Road (Welland) - Walk-In Clinic, Family Doctor & Blood Testing Lab

Starting from reception this walk-in clinic is irreproachable. The waiting time is usually less than 10-20 minutes. Staff is very friendly and professional. Medical equipment is the same as I see in any other similar clinics, although there is a lab on the site. Facilities are clean, including the washroom. Doctors are very good, I've seen 3 of them within one year. Honestly, I was surprised to see 1-star reviews for this clinic.

There should be an option for negative reviews; even that would be better for this clinic , I had an extremely frustrating experience at this clinic. I went in for a foot issue and was directed by the physician to urgent care. After waiting four hours, I was told this condition should have been referred directly to a podiatrist and that urgent care could not treat it. This was a complete waste of time caused by incorrect guidance from the clinic. I left without care and had to start the process again elsewhere. Very disappointing experience. It was Dr. Yabondo Mukendi’s assistant. I was thinking of making this clinic my family doctor, but after this, oh no. I would suggest never booking appointments here — worst clinic in the region.

If I could give negative stars, I would. My issue lies with the same doctor. The other doctors I have seen, have been wonderful, and the front desk workers have also been equally as great. This same doctor, however, should have his license revoked. His bedside manner is AWFUL. He always makes us feel like we’re stupid for being there, barely pays us any mind at all. Asks very basic questions, doesn’t seem like he cares about his patients at all. Our last visit, I took my daughter there because she was sick for a week, cough, fever, etc with no sign of getting better. He said she was fine, viral, chest sounds clear etc etc and go home. My daughter progressively got worse and was screaming with ear pain at this point, so we took her back since she was previously seen there. He said she has wax build up. Texted on his phone during the appt, asked very basic questions, and once again sent her home. I knew this wasn’t right especially given her ear was LEAKING FLUID and she was still in a lot of pain. We went for a second opinion elsewhere, right away they knew she wasn’t doing well. High fever, they heard wheezing, and took one look in her ear and knew right away that she had an infection. Oh, and turns out on top of the ear infection, she has PNEUMONIA. This is absolutely terrifying knowing this doctor couldn’t care less about his clients, especially CHILDREN. I know other people who have seen this same doctor and it’s always the same with him. Will NEVER be back. Stay far, far, away.

Absolutely horrible experience. The receptionist was rude, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful. We were forced to wait over an hour for absolutely no service. They scanned my and my daughter’s health cards, kept us sitting there, and only after wasting our time told us they were “at max capacity” and couldn’t see a doctor. If you’re full, say it upfront. Don’t scan health cards and mislead people. This feels dishonest and like a complete waste of time—especially with a child. Zero respect for patients. Avoid this place. Do not waste your time.

I came in today to be treated for a cold and I honestly just felt rushed and I didn't feel like I was being listened to. The doctor had his eyes glued to the computer when saying hello and goodbye. Just felt unprofessional and rude. I understand they are busy especially during this time of the year but at least look me in the eyes when saying hello and goodbye.
