Maple Park Pool

Unsafe “showers” and a waste of water. There are no proper showers instead they’ve just got some hose bibs on the wall that spray a solid wall of water at the entrance to the pools and the floors are extremely slippery (I almost badly injured myself )as you’re going in to try to protect your stuff from getting wet because you can’t leave anything in the change room as there are no lockers. so you have to take Your belongings out to the pool deck and you’re going to’ get them soaked going in or soaked coming back .plusthe amount of water that’s flowing there all day long is crazy. Why don’t they put a couple of proper showerheads in there? Nothing fancy to remedy this unsafe and extremely wasteful condition.

love this pool and the reviews of the life guards are not true they come and go so try it out before you judge. pool is great, clean

Clean spacious and has an extra pool for the little ones great family park for your kids to come and swim lifeguards on hand. I think it’s a great place for the kids with having so little to do in Welland. At least there’s the public pools they can still get joy out of. I would also like to add there is also a park and a big splash pad. Lots of fun things to do at Maple Park for the kids just load the kids up pack up a lunch and have a picnic day at the park. The kids can play and cool off all at the same time. It’s a great little park.

I don’t think the lifeguards are actually prepared to help in an emergency. They are so focused on petty rules and annoying parents. They are rude and it’s impossible for kids to enjoy swimming WITH floaties/ life jackets on when a parent has to be connected to their hip the entire time. Older kids even are forced to stay in the kiddie section glued to the parents hips. Absolutely ridiculous. Let the parents be parents and you do the life saving…

Went here to enjoy a day at the pool with my 3 kids. While in the kiddie pool, the staff were irritating me the whole time. They told me my son has to be within arms reach... My son is 8 (when standing the water touches his knees). They made my 8 and 6 year old wear a life jacket. Very uneccesary when the water is so shallow. They told me i had to follow them as they played around the pool even though they were wearing life jackets. Ridiculous because i also had my 2year old. The last staw was when I was using my cell phone and a lifeguard came up to me and asked me to make sure I'm also watching my kids... like seriously... I was definitely watching my kids and found that to be very disrespectful. I left at that point because I felt harassed and annoyed. Left the pool feeling irritated and ruined my day
