Most of the dry cleaners that Canada Goose recommends charge a bit more than they do. Had to sign a waiver at the beginning, but my Goose came out okay!
View on GoogleShowed up at 2:30 today (Nov 28), for a suit steam for a party tomorrow evening. Basically told me to move along, when I said it was for tomorrow. Told me they were done cleaning for the day, though the sign says open until 5:30. And same day cleaning service, when I wanted it for the next day...... Poor service. Will not give them another chance.
View on GoogleI'm in shock. This company took advantage of my 84 year old mother and tricked her into paying for a jacket they didn't even clean! And that was after they made her come there 3 times!!! $30 in gas! to pick it up. It was never ready. After I called they said they would get it back from wherever they sent it and I'd have it tomorrow. We'll that's today. They never mentioned they never even cleaned it. And how can they live with themselves charging my mother after all that for nothing? Do not go to this cleaner. They do not care about you or your clothes.
View on GoogleIf 0 stars was possible... I had pants hemmed here. A few months later, the hem came out of one leg. I brought the pants back for re-hemming. I was charged full price, even though it was a repair of their work and only one leg was being re-hemmed. After getting the pants back, the repaired re-hemmed leg was a different length than the non-repaired leg - a full 5" difference between the pant legs! I brought the pants back a third time for it to be fixed and was not offered a refund for the poor work as well as told I would be charged for it to be re-hemmed correctly. Hoping for a response and some sort of settlement from owners as no manager is available on site. Save yourself time and hassle. Teaching yourself to sew is easier than coming here.
View on GoogleI had my daughter take my dress to Manor Cleaners on Wednesday, September 18, for a rush order to remove some stains. They assured her it was fine to bring it in and promised it would be ready that same day. When I went to pick it up, the stains were still there—it was clear nothing had been done. They then told me to leave it until Wednesday, September 25, because they needed to redo it. When I picked it up and removed the plastic cover, I was shocked to see that the entire bottom of my dress was damaged. That’s when a man named Blair came over and told me he had cleaned it six times. I looked at him and said, “We’re not even talking about the stains anymore. The entire bottom of my dress is destroyed.” Another man, John, overheard and stepped in. He suggested taking it to a seamstress in Beamsville who might be able to fix it. I explained that this wasn’t just any dress—it was a custom-made gown from Shahani Couture in Toronto, for which I had paid $850. It was tailored specifically for my daughter’s wedding, including the exact length needed for my shoes. John provided his business card and called the seamstress, assuring me they could repair it. However, when I arrived and tried the dress on, it was now so short that it barely reached my ankles. The seamstress then suggested taking it to someone named Olga, saying she could “stretch it out.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. This dress is fine silk chiffon—it’s not stretchable. Frustrated, I left. I immediately called John, who acknowledged that the fabric couldn’t be stretched and instead suggested altering the dress by adding lace or shortening it. I told him that was not an option. He asked me to follow up in a week so he could discuss it with his partner. Despite following up multiple times, I received no resolution. The one time I was able to speak with John, he mentioned that they had an appraiser who could assess the value of the dress. When I asked why this hadn’t been mentioned earlier, he admitted he had forgotten. I requested to be present during the appraisal, as I no longer trusted them with the dress. However, no appraisal ever took place. By December, I called again and was informed that a family member had passed away. Out of respect, I didn’t push the issue at that time. Fast forward to Monday, February 10, 2025—I called John again. He told me that he and Blair had already discussed the issue and that I should speak with Blair directly. When I called Blair, he stated that they were not responsible and would not be compensating me in any way. He repeatedly brought up the stain removal but dismissed the damage done to the dress. At this point, I informed him that I would be consulting legal counsel regarding this matter and posting my honest review of my experience. Rather than addressing the issue, he responded by saying, “Google what slander means before you write your review, and I’m a journalist”—which I interpreted as an attempt to discourage me from sharing my experience. I’ve never posted a review before, as I generally believe in honesty and accountability. However, the fact that this issue has dragged on from September 2024 till now, with no resolution, has led me to share my experience. If you value your clothing, your time, and professional service, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Please Note: I have attached photos/videos showing the dress before it was sent for stain removal and the condition it was in when I received it back. I have also included the receipt, which reflects a payment of $0 due to the damage caused. The receipt notes "going to Beamsville to fix," which was part of their suggested solution. Additionally, there is a tag on the dress that reads “DO-OVER.”
