Ludology Boardgame Cafe

I love Ludology! I’ve been here tons of times, and what a fun place to visit. In the centre of downtown St. Catharines, you can play some board games you haven’t tried out before, while also having a great cocktail & amazing food. Service is also terrific - if you are a board game junkie like me, you will love this place.

A group of friends and I went here for a birthday celebration, and we loved it! I would highly recommend the hot chocolate! The food was good and there were so many games to choose from, with lots of popular options available even when the cafe was busy. Our server Evan was great! He was very friendly and approachable, and was very helpful when answering any of our questions! Good luck on your roll Evan! :)

This was our first time here and we had a great time. Our server, Josh, was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The drink menu is quite varied with unique blends that we haven’t seen elsewhere. The hot chocolate and London Fog were huge and delicious. We ordered the spinach dip which was homemade and fantastic. We truly enjoyed our time playing various games and we look forward to returning again for a full meal and more games.

I love ludology! A great atmosphere and great service. Board game selection is huge, BUT the time limit on playing makes it feel rushed to both eat and play. Luckily, we went on a night that was less busy so this wasn’t enforced. Drinks menu is impressive, and their staff picks cocktails are very unique. Great place for a fun night out. Something different to try than your typical restaurant night out . Service was great, the waitress was very patient with us and especially good with delivering food while we have a tight space with the game playing . Food was good, not over the top flavourful, but for a good meal on the side of your game, it was more than enough. Will be back for sure.
