Lookout Ridge Retirement Community by Spring Living

I had toured this retirement home with my family for my Aunt. The staff member giving the tour, Diane, was extremely rude to the workers on shift, which was very uncomfortable to watch and left a bad impression right away. During this tour, we witnessed one PSW on shift for what looked like 40 residents. That is nowhere near enough support. Safe to say we will not be putting my Aunt in a establishment like this. Very disappointed.

Our mother is a resident in Independent Living at Lookout Ridge. I live several hours drive distant and it is very reassuring to me to know that she is settled in such a supportive community. Since the passing of our father almost two years ago I am grateful to know she is surrounded daily by caring and loving friends among both residents and staff. I'm extremely impressed with the variety of programs and events that are scheduled monthly. There is something for everyone! Mom finds much to be engaged in daily. In particular I am impressed with the exercise program she attends three times weekly. She has commented to me that she notices her legs are stronger and her balance improved. Using her walker in her apartment is no longer necessary. Strength and balance are such important components in falls prevention. Thank you, staff and management at Lookout Ridge for all you do! Our Dad has just moved into Lookout Ridge in Fonthill and loves it already! Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful. Especially Diane who took care of us from start to finish! The staff and residents are so wonderful. They can’t do enough for you and are always willing to help. You have a real community feel being there. They all say “this is your home”. You feel like you belong!

My Father recently moved into Lookout Ridge Assisted Living, and I have to say that from on-boarding with Diane, Nurse Jessica, the Team has been wonderfully supportive and welcoming! My Dads unit is lovely, overlooking the Daycare to have some cheer seeing the children playing outside. The other residents are cheerful and the staff, from nursing team to Laundry to Dining, are all friendly and helpful, it’s very obvious they care greatly about the residents and their needs. The facility is lovely, and was spectacular with Holiday decor and cheer!! I would highly recommend!

I had a placement for school at Lookout Ridge and had a great experience during my time here. Beautiful building and good service. I would feel comfortable and at ease if one of my relatives was living here knowing they would be in care such as this.
