Lock One Animal Hospital

This is by far the best, most caring, supportive vet I've ever been to. I have 5 animals and they are always well cared for here. The front staff, the veterinarians Dr. Rianne, Dr. Amanda (the only 2 veterinarians I've had the pleasure of seeing) have always been very informative and patient. Marie, The veterinarian technician I have the pleasure of seeing weekly/biweekly for my Cat Juniper's B12 shots, is an angel. She has been such a warm, supportive and amazing person. I can't say enough about the people at this clinic. I know it can get costly for pet care. This place is not only by far the most reasonable price, but the care that comes with it is top notch. I look forward to years and years of care for my furbabies with Lock One! Thank you for being amazing!

I waited “patiently” for Dr. Geoff to open this clinic and due to having a dog with allergies, we became regular clients. Willow was always treated so lovingly, respectfully and professionally from all the staff. I never had to struggle to get an appointment. One day she was hopping on 3 legs and I know she needed to be seen. I got in right away and Dr. Amanda examined her and asked to keep her for x-rays. Later that day I got the call that in her opinion, Willow had osteosarcoma , bone cancer. That same day, they set up a referral to an oncologist and thus began a journey of bravery for Willow. Willow had her rear leg amputated and suffered infection resulting in additional surgery. To avoid me having to drive constantly to Oakville emergency hospital, this wonderful clinic always fit her in for treatment for the infection or blood work. Sadly, I learned that Willow’s cancer metastasized to her lungs and her chemo treatment was stopped. When the decision was made, Dr. Amanda and Elise arrived at my home to help me say goodbye to Willow. They were so king, loving and respectful and gave me all the time needed for this sad event. It just made saying goodbye much more comforting and left me with a sad but lovely memory. Shout outs to Maddy at the front desk for her continuous positive and caring personality, Marie for always having a bag of food put aside for Willow when I completely forgot to order in a timely manner, Elise for her knowledge, respect and love for what she does and how she became my go to person, Dr. Amanda for saving Willow’s life by quickly diagnosing her and then gently helping her journey on and especially to Dr. Geoff for his care of Willow for 6 years and for putting together an amazing team.

Highly recommend Lock One, the staff are all so great at what they do—always friendly, communicative and transparent. My cat tends to be on the anxious side and the staff are great with making her feel as comfortable and safe as possible. Special thanks to Dr. Amanda and the front desk staff for always doing an amazing job!

I am truly impressed by the exceptional service we received at Lock One. Having encountered numerous disappointing experiences with other veterinary practices, including instances of unprofessionalism and a lack of empathy, this visit was a refreshing change. From the moment I initially spoke with Maddy, I felt at ease. Our cat was experiencing concerning symptoms—refusing to eat, drink, and unable to go to the bathroom—and we were understandably anxious. Maddy was calm, compassionate, and reassuring, offering her support during a stressful time. Despite the late hour of my call, she managed to accommodate us that very same day. Dr. Rianne exemplified professionalism and expertise. She was not only highly knowledgeable but also kind and attentive throughout the examination. In stark contrast to our previous veterinary experience, where my partner and I felt more like we were being lectured than receiving treatment, Dr. Rianne’s approach was both direct and empathetic. She provided clear explanations without ever making us feel judged, and her bedside manner was truly exceptional. The overall experience was both positive and stress-relieving, and the cost was reasonable, especially in comparison to other veterinary clinics we’ve visited. We left with peace of mind, knowing our cat was in good hands. Thank you to the entire team at Lock One for your professionalism, care, and support. We look forward to bringing our dog in for a checkup and to hopefully be microchipped as we did not realize our cat was microchipped. Thank you again for the great work!

I needed to have my pup seen urgently due to an unexpected medical issue and despite not being a regular client & never being to this clinic before, they were willing to see her within an hour of me calling which was a huge relief. The clinic was very clean & well organized and the staff were all friendly & welcoming. Dr. Amanda was great with my pup, answered all of my questions and was very thorough during our consultation which I really appreciated. She was also extremely transparent about what diagnostics/tests she suggested as well as the costs associated so there were no surprises and took the time to explain why she recommended them. Additionally, Dr. Amanda maintained fantastic communication in a timely manner to update me on the results of the diagnostics/tests completed and how to proceed moving forward. Upon leaving the clinic, one of the staff (I'm sorry I don't know her name) offered to walk outside with us to help me get my pup into the car as she was still a little sleepy and needed to be carried out. This clinic offers amazing customer service. Overall, everyone went above and beyond to help my pup during an unexpected time of need and we're very thankful for all of their help and for making a stressful time a lot less stressful.
