Leelas Shawarma

This was guaranteed one of the most authentic shawarma I’ve tried. Amazing owner/staff. They went above and beyond for us. Brought the food to the table when normally at a shawarma place they would call for you to come and grab it your self. They gave us sauce on the side at no extra cost. I will definitely be coming back when visiting st Catharines/Niagara! 10/10 would recommend.

Stopped in last Friday around 4:30pm. I was craving a good fatoush salad! My favourite place has closed and so I am searching for a new one. From all the pics as well as ratings for this place seemed like a good choice. Service was fast and there was nice music playing while I sat to wait. I left with my order of lrg fatoush salad and a chicken shawarma with rice and potatoes. Ran back in for extra garlic sauce. Which I appreciate was give to me free! However when I got home my entire salad was days old!! Tomatoes grainy and the cucumbers transparent and rubbery, lettuce all wilted and turned!! Looks like they dowsed the salad in extra sauce so I maybe would not notice! I can’t believe I was served some disgusting days old leftovers. My advice, watch the food be prepared to ensure you are getting fresh stuff!!! The shawarma portion of the meal was tasty and typical of most places.

Leela’s Shawarma was a great and very pleasant experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and full of friendly energy. The staff were kind, warm, and genuinely happy to help, which made the visit even better. The food was delicious and clearly made with care, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place. Leela’s Shawarma is the kind of spot that makes you feel comfortable and appreciated as a customer—I’ll definitely be coming back.

Place is very expensive for shwarma, 44$ for two plates is a bit too much. I also asked for two on the rock plates without any hot sauce and got normal chicken plates doused in hot sauce. Probably wont coming back since simple instructions seem to be not their forté. Also paid for extra tahini and garlic sauce and didnt get it. Also, side of potatoes? What shwarma place gives you potatoes in lieu of sauce and veggies??

We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and swish tawook rice. The shawarma rice was the standout, with rich and well-balanced flavors. The swish tawook was incredibly juicy, and I especially loved the tangy salad dressing. Service was excellent, with very friendly and welcoming staff.
