View on GoogleThe lady at the front was pleasant and helpful with letting us know that they had left for the day. We ordered the oxtail dinner and we’re happy we made that decision. The oxtail was perfectly cooked and seasoned very well. The last few bites of the rice and peas were a bit too salty. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would recommend for lunch or dinner if you’re in the area.
View on GoogleOh my goodness. I picked up jerk chicken roti, curry chicken roti and a jerk chicken dinner. Words literally cannot describe how amazing and flavourful the food is. So I decide I'm going to eat the jerk chicken roti first. First of 5, it's huge. Filling. Get this though, every bite is a flavour explosion in your mouth. I'm not talking about your standard "this is good" flavour, it's more like "oh my goodness this is insanely good!" EVERY bite is like this. I figured I'll save the jerk chicken dinner for later after I get home again and the curry chicken roti for my wife but I make the mistake of trying the jerk chicken breast in the dinner. Just a small piece. And WOW it's NEXT LEVEL! It's like a million little angels seductively massaging your taste buds. Every bit of self control not to eat it right away now. I'm impressed by Chef Carlton and his wife Cinyad (apologies if it's spelled incorrectly). They are not only great cooks but are extremely nice people. Prices are very very very very good and servings are huge. You get more than what you pay for. Do I recommend Kool Katts? A big HECK YEAH I do! Bring your family. Bring your friends. Order take out. Use Skip your dishes. However you get it you need to eat here!
View on GoogleWhile on vacation in Canada, my family and I was excited to find Caribbean food and decided to visit for lunch. Once inside, it didn't smell of food cooking and stewing for hours like most carribean restaurants. Also, the food wasn't in front on display with the hot pans that I'm used to seeing, but we didn't want to judge and decided to stay for lunch. The owner welcomed us with a smile and told us about the $5 lunch specials. After ordering our food, I thought I heard the sound of the microwave going off and, my sister said she heard it also. Once our food arrived, everything looked good and it was the perfect portion for lunch. The seasoning and flavor was there but, I'm almost 95% sure the food wasn't fresh and was reheated in the microwave. I personally wouldn't recommend or go back for this reason.
View on GoogleThe owner and cook had such an off putting demeanor. His customer service was sorry. He over cooked the festival and looked upset that we didn't want to eat brick hard festival. I should have left when I arrived and he didn't have any jerk chicken. End the end I paid for food That I ended up not finishing because it was very mediocre. I had jerk pork ribs. It didn't have much spice or kick to it. All of the patrons looked so upset. It took about 30 min just to get the festival and the beef patties. Would not recommend nor will I ever return.
