Kintec: Footwear + Orthotics

This establishment goes the extra mile for their clients! I had the pleasure of having Mike Bosch assist me with finding correct footwear to suit my needs of running and going to the gym. Mike assessed me thoroughly and was able to provide me with adequate footwear and a reasonable price. I have been using this footwear for a couple of months now and have noticed the difference in my stride as well as no post workout pains. These guys rock. Yesterday, I had an in-store consultation and assessment with Mike at Kintec, St. Catharines, upon the recommendation of a friend. I suffered a severe injury in March of 2025 while ice skating and broke my left tibia and fibula completely through mid shin and also fractured my left ankle and wrist. I required major surgery to put me back together which was followed by a lengthy, slow rehabilitation and recovery. 10 months post injury, I have received authorization from my physiotherapist to gradually return to my job in hospitality working as a fine dining server. My physiotherapist stated in my return to work letter that I will now be required to wear a supportive, lace up running shoe for work as opposed to the leather Clark's that I wore for years prior to my injury. Upon the recommendation of a friend, I sought professional advice at Kintec. Mike discussed my injury and professional requirements for my necessary footwear and did a thorough assessment of the physiology of my feet via their high tech computer equipment. He provided me with a few suitable options from different brands that possessed varying characteristics in materials and style for me to try on and compare. He listened attentively when I described how my feet experienced the feeling of each pair of shoes and ultimately fitted me with a very supportive and comfortable pair of Brooks that felt superb. I was in the store for a full hour from arrival to purchase and appreciated that I had 100% of his attention throughout my visit and that he focused solely upon me and was not jumping between multiple customers. His professional background and experience was evident in his knowledge, and I am very happy with my complete experience at Kintec with Mike and highly recommend both if you are seeking a professional fitting so that you are purchasing the best possible shoes to meet your needs.
