Roughly two weeks ago I went to Jiffy Lube Welland for an oil change for my Jeep Cherokee. I thought nothing of it as I’ve gone here several times in the past, but shortly after my service I had a few lights come up on my dash & took it into dodge for a diagnosis. I was quickly informed that my car had received the wrong oil & filter. So before moving forward with Dodge correcting the issue I gave Jiffy Lube a call to explain what happened. Initially I spoke with a younger guy who was very understanding and forwarded me to his manager. The manager immediately was unfriendly, unapologetic and assured me that I was mistaken because I never got my oil changed there. I thought I had accidentally called the wrong location so I apologized and asked where they were located, but no it was the right location. The manager proceeded to tell me that he wasn’t going to do anything for me because I was lying about coming there and definitely went somewhere else. Instead of trying to trouble shoot what had possibly happened, he simply used a condescending tone, refused to help me in anyway. I got super frustrated because I obviously know where I went TWO weeks before, and I didn’t have my receipt with me as it was in my vehicle at dodge. I then asked him if it was possible that the team made me another profile — what other ways he could look my history up? He said he could use my phone number again (while clearly very annoyed with me), then said “well I only have one Jeep Cherokee under this number” that made me think well is there another vehicle under this phone number? And he said yes, a caravan. So I said well maybe you should look into that profile because that might be where they went wrong— I don’t own a caravan. And wow, I was right. He immediately put me on hold, came back a few minutes later, no apology “yea, so it looks like they made a mistake and keyed it in wrong and did the oil and filter for a caravan. So what do you want me to do”. That was the response I received after his incredibly rude behaviour over the phone. I won’t lie I wasn’t the most pleasant either once I was repeatedly told that I “definitely didn’t have my oil changed there” but I felt it was justified based off of the way I was being spoken to. I asked for a full refund and he basically said “yea sure bye”. I will say the other workers I encountered were friendly, but I will never be back. Mistakes happen, but being rude and condescending is where I draw the line.

And helped us talk about care of the car and as we are searching for a new car they gave some advice on that. Very impressed. Will be going back. Thank you!

View on GoogleJiffy Lube, you got me again. I should’ve known better the first time when my splash shield was left dragging on the road after an oil change. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice? Well, I guess that’s just the Jiffy Lube way. Apparently, reattaching a few screws and clips is just too advanced for this place. Twice now, I’ve driven away with my car half taken apart like it’s some kind of bonus feature they offer. Lesson learned: if you want your oil changed AND your undercarriage turned into roadkill, Jiffy Lube is the spot. If you actually want competent work, go literally anywhere else.
