It’s about thyme Mediterranean cuisine

This place was recommended to me by my boss and I have to say it does not disappoint. I am all about flavour and this place definitely has it. Even the toasting of the pita adds a component that just heightens the enjoyable eating experience. All the ingredients are fresh and the owner is very personable, professional, handling any influx customers with calm and ease. The meat is juicy and well cooked and easily addictive. I am looking forward to trying more items. Special mention of the baklava which is very reasonably priced and of a good size. The meat pies are quite delicious and even more so with a side of BBQ sauce (home add not from store). Just a note, I heated the 12 pack in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes and they were quite nice; but I believe even 8 minutes would suffice Definitely will continue to come here!

Absolutely unbeatable. We have been Wisam's customers since the very beginning. If I'm not mistaken, his dad originally owned the Shawarma Place on King Street decades ago. Wisam outdid that by miles. There is nothing you can order that is less than perfect, and I should know. This is the food I grew up on. The pastries, bread, choice of meat, condiments, and sauces are all made with love and true to the old homeland. We actually order in bulk. We freeze many of the pastries for lunches and snacks. Try the Spanish Fatayer (fresh, or freeze them and just take them for lunch at work, letting them thaw in your lunch bag) Good luck, man. Keep up the great work. It is so wonderful to maintain the diversity of the food scene in St Catharines.

OMG 😱 this was one of the best shawarma that I've ever had. I don't know if it was the chicken that was marinated for 2 days, or the creamy garlic sauce or the fact that it was finished in the flat top and kind of had these crunchy pita parts to it.. it was delicious... I will be making a new tradition of getting a delicious shawarma every time I pass by St. Catharines.... 12/10 can't wait to go again

All I can say is that I wish I lived closer! The owner, Sam, is probably the most kind human being ever. He’s always doing things for the community and supporting Gillian’s Place. Then there is the food. Authentic, delicious Lebanese food, need I say more! His food is out of this world! Full of flavor and good serving sizes. You can’t go wrong. Everything is fresh and delicious. His garlic sauce is so good that I always have to order extra. The chicken and beef shawarma are excellent, so is the pocket. He has so many beautiful baked goods that he makes and they’re all tasty. Everything is perfectly seasoned, moist, tender, and fresh. You can’t go wrong no matter what you choose. I always walk away completely satisfied.

We stopped at this little gem on our way back from Niagara and we're glad we did. Super delicious food, everything was fresh, and they know how to cook their meats! The owner, Sam, is a fantastic man. No compromises on quality. We tried the chicken and beef shawarmas, the chicken shawarma plate and their secret menu item, the pocket. Sooo delicious, can't wait to come back to try the falafels!
