Just had a soft top replaced on a 1956 Corvette. The job was flawless. Excellent communication and turn around time. Making plans to have the next one done here !

27 year old Mercedes convertible/removable hardtop with loose MB Tex(VINYL) headliner. New owner of shop Daryn(spelling?) quoted price to 're-fit' the headliner. Said he may not be able to do it, depends on situation once removed, and may need to order a kit. Agreed price. Hardtop removed. Left at shop. Called me. Told it's ready, then called back later to say material came loose/unglued. He asked for 2 more days. He called again to say they were just finishing up. Then added, "I called my suppliers, no one had the vinyl, so I've done it in cloth". I was angry at not being asked if this was ok to do. Zero consultation. Vintage car. Needs to be 'kept' original. I went to see it. Quality job. But...NOT what was requested, and worse, the wrong material used without asking. I said it's not that it's not a good-looking job, it's that it's "wrong" and done, arrogantly in my mind,without a. s.k. i. n. g. the customer. I said it's like asking for oak furniture repair, and finding out they replaced it instead with pine furniture. Owner incapable of understanding this. An apology would have gone a long way, but arrogance and territoriality only make the customer angry, disappointed, and vowing never to go back. "Who are you to talk down to me? This is my shop. I'm the boss here. Now pay up and get out." Not exactly the best resolution for the situation. Everyone has a bad day. But performing work without consulting the customer, or bringing them on side....then demanding payment..... I wanted to rate lower, but he's a human being, trying to make a living. The quality was there...that's not the issue..."ratings" aren't helpful without an explanation. 1st mistake: acting without consulting/permission 2cnd mistake: failing to see how this is not acceptable to the customer. 3rd mistake: standing even more firm and immovable about the first mistake.

I called for a sunroof replacement quote, I had my quote with in an hour , accepted the quote and made the arrangements to get the service done. The job was perfect on time and for the price quoted which was less than others in my area. I drove from Aurora , it was well worth the drive. There is something to be said about hiring people with experience. thanks again Greg Fawcett

Excellent work, completed on time and billed work was done and priced as quoted. Friendly personal staff experience was outstanding. Highly recommended for Upholstery work , in my case a 26 year Volvo!!
