We’ve stayed here numerous times within the past few years but our last couple visits have been disappointing. The location is great but recommend sticking closer to Clifton Hill if you have little kids, especially if you’re visiting in the winter as the shortcut path infront of the Skylon Tower (quickest route from hotel to Clifton Hill), isn’t maintained so you won’t have much luck cutting through with the stroller or little ones. The sidewalk outside the main entrance of the hotel, leading down to the falls, is slippery during winter months too, which might be difficult for little ones/seniors to navigate. We’ve noticed our rooms have not been throughly cleaned and this has been obvious during our recent visits (was hoping it was a one-off originally). The room is covered in dust, on top of the lamps & headboard, fingerprints were all over the sliding door, the office chair in our room was so ridiculously peeled to the point of it being laughable & we couldn’t comfortably sit on it. The corners of the bathroom were dirty and the bathtub had black hairs in it. Theres also no microwaves in the room which we found to be very disappointing. Our first night I took my daughter swimming and noticed food crumbs on the floor, and two dirty bandaids surrounding the hot tub ledge, EW. I figured this must of happened recently and would be gone the next day.. Nope! We stayed 3 nights and the bandaids and crumbs never moved. This to me, reflects the cleanliness of the hotel in general. If you can’t clean up dirty bandaids or maintain the pool area, how I am I suppose to trust you changed the bed sheets etc. One of the positives would be free parking but the men who run the parking lot (holding their signs next to the hotel parking) use the back of the hotel as their personal toilets as we witnessed the men urinating in the parking lot on a couple occasions. Overall, the free parking, updated rooms, & nice pool area; gives this hotel lots of potential to be great but when its not properly cleaned, thats a make or break for us especially the pool area having used banaids sitting around for days as we have little ones and thats a big red flag for us. Unfortunately, I think this might be our last stay here as the price you pay does not equate to what you’re receiving.
View on GoogleThe receptionist was nice to give us a higher floor room, the heater fan had a very load noise. So we couldn't sleep. When I told the morning staff about the fan. He just looked at me. No words! Location is good but no view of the falls. Room was nice otherwise. View of the roof. Lol
View on GoogleIt was good. The indoor pool was nice with a sauna and hot tub. Clean, no lifeguard. Gym was basic. Really 4 cardio machines but it was still good. Only one working elevator right now which stunk but this because they are installing new elevators so you can't be too angry since upgrades are inconvenient and take time but can't be helped.
View on GoogleI booked an overnight stay at the end of January because we had an early appointment the following day. We checked in shortly after 3:00. Our room was ready. The rooms were clean. The flooring which was lamined unfortunately started to warp in several places. Could be a tripping hazard for some but it was fine for us. Definitely has had water damage. We like that there was a little nook with the little bar area with a fridge in a sink. It allowed someone to be able to get ready when someone else was in the shower. Not a lot of counter space and the sink in the bathroom but that was fine. Shower pressure was good. We were able to hear other rooms through one of the vents that was near the bathroom which was weird but nothing that Disturbed our sleep. This is one of the few hotels that I've stayed in where you couldn't actually hear the goings-ons outside above you or beside you. So from a hotel traffic noise it was quite minimal even though that weekend had a lot of hockey family staying. Hotel centrally located and you could walk to several attractions quite easily. We appreciated the parking was included because sometimes parking is quite expensive in Niagara Falls. There was only one working elevator at the time so hopefully they fixed the elevator. Breakfast was not included, but the restaurant downstairs would have sufficed. The pools open till 10:00 p.m. so that was great. We didn't use the pool but we did use their hot tub and the sauna. A mini getaway that was affordable in a hotel centrally located to all amenities. Overall it was a good experience and would stay there again.
View on GoogleWe had a great overall stay at this Holiday Inn in Niagara Falls, with a few important things worth noting for future guests. The hotel itself is clean, well maintained, and in a very convenient location. Check-in was smooth, staff were friendly, and service throughout our stay was genuinely excellent. Any time we had a question or concern, it was handled professionally and without hesitation. The room itself was comfortable, modern, and clean, with a good layout and comfortable bed. However, our initial room had a connecting door to the neighboring room, and unfortunately the soundproofing through that door was extremely poor. We could clearly hear normal conversation from the other room as if there were no door at all, which made it difficult to relax, especially late at night. That said, once we notified the front desk, they acted quickly and moved us to a non-connecting room. The difference was night and day. The new room was quiet, comfortable, and exactly what we were hoping for. Once moved, the rest of our stay was fantastic. I would absolutely stay here again, but I strongly recommend requesting a non-connecting room if noise is a concern for you. Overall, great service, solid rooms, and a very good hotel experience.
