Yesterday, I had the incredible opportunity to spend the day with my Vistage Group at Hodgson Custom Rolling Inc., thanks to Chris Hodgson, a valued member of our group. The experience was nothing short of amazing, offering a deep dive into the fascinating world of steel plate rolling and structural steel forming. Hodgson Custom Rolling Inc. stands out as one of North America’s leading facilities in this field, providing unmatched steel plate rolling services. Their capabilities are truly impressive, handling material thicknesses up to 10-20 inches and widths up to 12 feet. The precision and flexibility they offer, whether for small or large diameter cylinders, hot or cold rolling, are unparalleled. Witnessing their steel plate rolling process firsthand was an eye-opener to the sheer scale and precision involved​. Equally impressive is their brake forming department, which boasts mechanical and hydraulic presses with capacities ranging from 300 to 6000 tons. These presses can handle plates up to 20 inches thick and 16 feet wide, forming various shapes such as brackets, pipe clamps, cylinders, and cones. The size and capability of their equipment, including the massive presses and sophisticated heating systems, are awe-inspiring. It's clear that few facilities in North America can match their custom steel bending and forming capabilities​. 10/10 Place to watch trains! The scenery there is nice and in the past I've watched trains here since 2020, a lot of crews on the CN Trains are nice and gave me a horn salute.

Delivery one piece here. I've been waiting for 1,5 hours for offloading... No trucks ahead of me . No one cares.

Picking up a load ? Expect at least 1-2 hours wait time. They just give you a door to wait at. No truck ahead of me, these guys just don’t want to work.
