Hidden Bench Estate Winery

Came here with my family to celebrate my 30th birthday! We had a lovely time tasting wines; the tasting guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were great, we even got a couple of bottles to gift our friends. We will definitely come back in the summer.

Splurged and did the full guided tasting. Well worth the time and price. The host was excellent and the range of wines showed off the winery's strengths. The current Gamay and Sauvignon Blanc are great wines.

We stopped by Hidden Bench on a Friday afternoon without a reservation and decided to try our luck. The owner greeted us right away and was warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. He managed to fit us in for a tasting and we were served by Laura who was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun and relaxed. The wines were excellent. We ended up buying six bottles to take home, which we would have done anyway, but it was a nice bonus that the tasting fee was waived with the purchase. The setting added to the experience, the tasting took place in a beautiful heritage house overlooking the vineyards. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area. Great people, great wine, great atmosphere.

We’ve been huge fans of this winery for many years. Always a wonderful experience tasting with Matt & Harald at Hidden Bench … with my hubby (Mark K) … if it’s possible almost too much knowledge between the three of these guys with a lot to taste. Haha. Still my favourite winery on The Bench. Certified organic, eco, sustainable. Their style of wine making is outstanding. This is Ontario at it’s best. PS … Hidden Bench’s Wine Club is awesome with many perks.

I’ve been to few other winery experiences before so I didn’t expect much. But Hidden Bench tasting experience is a MUST. Kat introduced us to various wines from the winery. She was very knowledgeable and answered all the random questions we threw at her. Also, Cody was very nice helpful organizing our itinerary. Oh yes, winery is beautiful.
