If you’re looking for a great local deli with classic German, Polish, and other traditional favorites, Helen’s Deli is definitely worth checking out. The place itself is clean, cute, and has that welcoming neighborhood feel. The staff are nice and friendly. Also, keep in mind that parking requires payment. The cabbage roll was absolutely packed with flavor. Every bite seemed to get better than the last, and it was easily one of the highlights of the meal. The schnitzel had good flavor, though it was a little tough I’m guessing it just wasn’t pounded out quite enough. That said, the roll it came on was amazing light, fresh, and really well done. Overall it was okay, but I’d probably recommend going with one of their sandwiches instead, as that seems to be more of their strength. The Pierogies were a bit of a letdown. The best part was honestly the bacon bits on top. The pierogi themselves were extremely greasy and didn’t really stand out in any special way.
View on GoogleThe fruit and veggie platters were absolutely amazing! The presentation/organization was top notch and everything looked and tasted fresh. Best fruit and veggies I've had in a long time and it was well priced for the amounts given! Thank you!
View on GoogleDelicious food, responsive staff, Cozy, inviting, and sirprisingly larger on the inside than it appears from outside. For the best experience you go should aim for the winter and get the one singular test. Grilled cheese and tomato soup. Thats the go to. And you will not be disappointed
View on GoogleThis place awesome. Its Got little treats and more than any deli has. Great for a quick lunch if your downtown. Also good for weekly meal combinations. Frozen soups, fresh deli, desserts, salad bar, the list goes on. Definitely worth checking out in your in the area. Reason went for the food ofcourse. I've been hearing about the schnitzel on a bun. I got the bacon and honeymustard one.i think my expectations were higher or maybe it could used more honey mustard. For me it was a little dry. Don't get me wrong I ate it all and it was good. Just wasn't what I guess I expected.
View on GoogleGreat, Fresh sandwiches ! I got an assorted sandwhich for around $8. The bun was nice and fresh, the meat sliced on the spot, and it had a great selection of meat. Vegetables were nice and fresh, crisp lettuce . Overall, great sandwhich! Only thing to make it better would be slightly more meat, but I’d definitely consider paying for double meat next time . 8.7/10
