Moved 2 very packed rooms from a house to an apartment. Tons of boxes and lots of random stuff. The crew was awesome (this is my 2nd move with them and had most of the same crew!). They really put in the hard work. Would highly recommend.
View on GoogleI've moved many times and this might have been the best moving company I've ever moved with. Helpful staff from booking to actual move day, they didn't rush me through any decisions, took care of my things and generally were great.
View on GoogleDon’t use this company… I know I never will again! They were absolutely horrible. I chose them because they picked up the phone when we called to get a quote, and again to book. She provided consistent information with each conversation. The woman advised Lambert’s Moving and Harvey Moving were the same company and affirmed again with Johnson Moving. Compared to many of the other local moving companies, this was a great relief. The day of moving is when the troubles happened. They were 1.5 hours later than requested. The truck was smaller than expected – I was assured the crew were great packers and all my belongs could fit in. During the move, we saw many of our items being dragged bringing them to the truck, a bit disheartening but did not seem to be breaking things – were we ever wrong!!! When the truck was full, we still had almost one-quarter of our house to move. The crew agreed to return after unloading the first one haul and came back for a few of the big items. The move was moving so slowly that for unpacking the truck, both my wife and I helped with the unloading, bringing boxes to the correct locations. We were less than impressed when watching the driver drink at least four cans of beer during his shift. During the move, I listened to a few calls while on ‘long breaks’ with girlfirends/wives; extended periods where one crew member complained to me he was tired (I also witnessed a competition of shoulder presses with pieces of equipment for two of the crew) while I continued moving boxes one mover was ‘gone to the bathroom’ for over an hour – another of the crew members asked me if I had seen where he went. I may expect these behaviours when friends are helping move, but not when I am paying $150 per hour for service. For anyone wondering, it ultimately took 32 trips to finish emptying the old house – I guess the truck was not quite big enough. Now the part that actually makes me angry… They damaged our old house to the point that it took many hours of repair. They damaged several pieces of furniture, walls, and floors in our new home. We took ‘stock’ for a few days and assessed the damage to our property. The first time I called, the same woman as above picked up the phone – she did not really care, but said she would talk to the owner about some of the concerns of broken/damaged items. When I did not get the callback from her as she stated, I called, but she no longer would answer the phone. In the pictures, please notice the broken headboard and broken drawer for our bed that they didn’t put together properly and we fell through when we finally went to go to sleep. They broke our teak buffet and hutch, our freezer, our and our hydraulic desk. They did significant damage to our threshold of our stairs, they took chunks of wood out of both side of our stair (stringers), and damaged new sealed concrete floors. They took chunks out of walls, damaged banisters and left handrails insecure. Some of these things I have been able to fix or bring in someone to fix, more are still on the list. We paid them in full the day of the move. I believe in paying for service as agreed, even when it is sub-par – unfortunately it took me a couple hours/days to know the significance of the damage. To be ultimately clear, I do NOT recommend this company. Update in response to company comments: when I called initially, the worker that answered the call specifically said... "didn't you just call me"? She was quite clear Lambert and Harvey were the same company. When I called and asked about the Johnson Moving truck, she again clarified it was the same company.
View on GoogleKerry our first contact to received a quote was considerate and professional and worked with us on accommodating the indecisiveness of setting a moving date due to market situation. Followed up with us on miving date as well to see how things went. Once date set. Al. Chris and cliff arrived on time and were absolutely great to work with. Our furniture and accessories were handled with upmost care for delivery to our new home. They were accommodating to the 9th degree on arriving at new home in placing and helping to decide on placement of furniture. I would highly recommend this company and team. Their professionalism and friendliness and price fairness was superb. Thank you
View on GoogleOn August the 10th AL and cliff arrived to our home and wasted no time to start loading the truck. They put carpet on the floor to protect it..they never stopped except when I made them have a cold drink... I could not believe that in 4 1/2hours the truck was full..3 bedrooms/4split house ang garage!!!!. The next day was the drive to Grand Bend. Their timing was spot on..this time they brought a helper Damion ( I hope that's spelled right) ..so the unloading was even faster. They stacked everything!! Awesome Awesome job well done 👏..they deserve a raise and more!!! Job Well Done Harvey's moving 👏!!!! I give this company a 10..thank you Sharon and Peter Barczynski...
