Very disappointing. I love supporting family oriented businesses but not business that make you feel like you’re being personally ripped off. $46.25 on these 7 pastries is pricey enough… I was shocked at the price but when trying to figure out the breakdown the numbers don’t add up. They have their prices listed under their pastries and I also called to confirm their pricing with them and the amount still didn’t add up. The “employee” which I believe was probably family or ownership, I spoke with said that there is a credit card fee on top of the price that wasn’t mentioned and she was unable to provide me with the correct percentage they charged me. She said she “doesn’t know”. If there was a credit card charge like she said then it’s above 5% on the taxed total. I believe she used the credit card charge as an excuse because I was charged incorrectly. I asked for a full refund but was denied. Will never see another dollar from me.
View on GoogleI have been to this bakery 2x and purchased quite a few items. The 2 differant cakes I purchased were frozen although they were the best cakes we have had in a long time. The cakes were also beautiful. No they do not write on the cakes so I purchased a happy birthday and candles from the dollar store so all worked out great. Will be back again for purchase. This store is a bit of a higher price point although for quality items I was happy with I don't mind spending tje money. So far very happy I found them.
View on GoogleThis is my second Saturday coming back to Grimsby Bakery and Fine Foods to stock up on their home made delicious frozen meals. The Sheppard’s pie is beyond delicious and we had 6 meals out of it which was perfect and so helpful. Their lasagna is also so tasty too. If you want frozen meals either individually packaged or for families at a really affordable cost. I highly recommend. We’ll be back weekly! Nothing beats homemade and the best service.
View on GoogleI visited Grimsby Bakery and Fine Foods recently as I was nearby and hadn’t had my morning coffee. I politely asked if they had regular black coffee. The staff member responded condescendingly, saying this isn’t Tim Hortons and they don’t keep “cheap stuff” here, only espresso. I felt this comment was unnecessary, rude, and had undertones of discrimination. Overall, the behavior I experienced was unacceptable. I do not recommend this place.
View on GoogleFantastic little spot for some baked goods, and the coffee is a nice surprise too! The staff are always friendly. I highly recommend the cannolis. I’m going to try some of the premade items found in the fridge as well!
