Our dog does not like any Vet and has a difficult time going. They do an amazing job at make him feel more comfortable and relaxed. He still does not like the visit however, he is the best behaved while here that he has ever been at any clinic in the past. They do an amazing job at explaining things in plain English and are very friendly. All the staff we have had interactions with have been amazing.

Terrible overall experience. Over the past two years or so, we noticed multiple red flags that ultimately led us to switch veterinarians. I’m not sure if ownership changed, but the level of care and service has significantly declined. We chose not to detail the specific issues publicly because they were already communicated to reception when we made the decision to leave. However, the complete lack of follow-up or even a check-in — despite us being clients for several years — was disappointing and frankly unacceptable. Since switching to 40 Creek Animal Hospital, we have been extremely happy. They genuinely care about our cats’ wellbeing, which was not our experience at Grimsby Animal Hospital. I would not recommend this clinic.

Truly a wonderful clinic. I have had 3 dogs as patients here, currently 2. They have seen Drs. Oliver, Harkness, and Peters, all of whom are outstanding. The doctors really take their time with my dogs and make sure all my concerns are addressed (I always have so many questions). They don’t push unnecessary meds or procedures and will take conservative approach where appropriate, while ensuring it’s the best course for your pet. The staff who run the clinic are super kind and everyone is pleasant to speak with. The vet techs are absolutely fantastic with my nervous medium/large dogs. The staff always follow up by phone and email to get updates on any issues (how the dogs are recovering from procedures, reacting to medications, etc.). The hours for the clinic are awesome and make it easy to get appts before/after my own office hours, where necessary. And staff are really helpful about getting my dogs in on short notice for illness etc. I also have to mention that their rates are so reasonable. Really can’t say enough good things or recommend this clinic more highly.

Always the best and feels like family. Victor just recently went in for neuter surgery and the whole team was beyond helpful easing my anxiety as an anxious dog mom. They answered all calls and emails promptly and had him come in for check ups with little notice. The vet tech even carried my purse to the car when I had Victor in my arms after surgery. Big thank you to the whole grimsby vet team! Your work is greatly appreciated in this small community❤️

I had an amazing experience last week at Grimsby Animal Hospital. First of all I called for a last minute appointment and my first cat wasn’t even a patient there as of yet. I had an unknown issue that my cat wasn’t even experiencing and I had to get her seen asap. GAH staff spoke to me on the phone with patience and were able to find an appointment for my cat Papper same day. When we got there the nurse that spoke on the phone with me took us in and was super sweet. We saw the vet shortly after who was also super friendly and very attentive. You can tell both women love and care for animals that they see in the hospital. As the vet attended to my cat she discovered few possible issues and gave me lots of options to work with to help and create the best suitable care for my cat and me. Week and half later the vet game me a call to check on Pepper and her well being, which I found very sweet and caring. I’ll definitely keep bringing Pepper and her sibling to this beautiful place where animals are loved into wellness.
