WARNING FOR ANYONE WHO IS DOING BUSINESS WITH GREAT BLUE RESORTS !!!!! They DO NOT pay their bills even when the work was quoted and approved. Then good luck getting a hold of the site manager that approved the work or anyone at head office. You will be avoided and left to run in circles. Even with a small invoice owed. Get paid in advance or do not.

Called in and said that we will be staying with a pet. Was told it was a $49 fee. Signed papers that it was a $49 fee. They charged it twice per room. When I called to dispute, they said it's $49 when you check in, and $49 to check out. Ones a pet fee and ones accommodation fee. Refuses to reverse. DO NOT STAY. CHARGES NOT EXPLAINED

This is to warn potential buyers and sellers. We had a cottage at Cherry Beach Resort for several years and had to sell this summer. The fees doubled since we bought which are not sustainable. We could not rent out our cottage privately and barely made anything through the resort rental program. The resort was nice and the on-site staff was friendly but the head office is unethical. Since we sold on July 25th 2025, it's now October 15th 2025, they still have not paid us for the sale. Their head office staff and CFO keep saying via email, they are back logged and won't process our payment while they hold our money and the "buyers" have been using our cottage since July. It's almost 3 months!!! They are liars and looks like they are scammers. Do not ever buy a cottage from Great Blue Resort, you will only loose money, if you actually get your money. The saddest thing is they just don't care, no one is even willing to call me to help resolve the situation.

I had a good experience and a bad one as a renter. We’ve stayed at another Great Blue Resorts location in Campbellford and had a wonderful time, so we booked Shamrock Bay with high expectations. Unfortunately, Unit 12 fell far short due to misleading listing information, poor maintenance, and disappointing customer service. Key issues: • Misleading listing: Sleeping arrangements didn’t match the description, and “in-unit Wi-Fi” turned out to only be at the welcome center. • Poor cleanliness: Stove and BBQ dirty, grout and sinks stained, filthy placemats, and ant traps scattered around a pet-friendly space. • Lack of basics: Only 1 garbage bag, 1 roll of toilet paper, no recycling bin, and missing bathroom fixtures like a toilet paper holder or towel rack. • Maintenance problems: Doors unlevel, AC barely functional, worn furniture, mismatched curtains, unsafe dresser edge that cut our child’s foot. • Welcome center concerns: Ice cream had a strong chemical taste (staff said it was “safe”), and when we gave feedback, the manager seemed upset—making us hesitant to raise further issues. Customer service after our stay: It’s now been nearly 2 months since I reached out to Great Blue Resorts with my concerns. I have yet to receive a phone call—only a few emails saying they would connect with the resort and follow up, but nothing has come of it despite multiple follow-ups on my part. Positives: The pool, playground, organized activities, canoe rental, and view from the deck were lovely. However, the overall condition of the unit felt neglected and poorly managed. It did not match the standard we experienced at other Great Blue locations, and we will not be returning to this resort for sure but likely not any of them given our customer service experience or lack there of. Frankly, it seems like there are cottages used as money makers for the resort and for great blue. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK - for the rental prices you can stay at better all inclusive resorts or hotels!!

This is to warn potential buyers. This is very much a scam. Lots of hidden fees. When you want to sell they make it very hard so that you only sell to them at a huge loss. Same at the other great blue resorts. Annual fee is HUGE and they can raise it as often as they want by however much they want. They advertise as an investment that you can use on airbnb but they charge a ridiculous amount per night if you rent out your unit. This is a common scam in US trailer parks. Not too many take advantage here. This is the first company that I've seen to do it in Canada. Happy to answer any questions if you have any
