We went for our first time today and one of the managers (Adam) was great help with my son Gage, aged 5. He taught him proper falling techniques and was very friendly with my son, which also gave him a great review.
View on GoogleBeen climbing for 8 years, we visit this gym once a year-ish when travelling home to Niagara. Setting: 4-stars Equipment/amenities: 3-stars Cleanliness: 1-star This is one of the dirtiest gyms I've ever been too, I don't think they've ever vacuumed or washed the floors in the training area. There's no water fountain (but there is one of those refillable water jugs). Physio and training equipment is significantly lacking (limited barbel weights, no bands, ankle weights, etc). They have two of the same board (TB) but not with all the holds and the angles are static. I do recommend the gym for the setting though. Open to changing this review if the facility improves next visit!
View on GoogleI have purchased a day pass here a few times now, rented shoes and chalk each time. As a recreational climber, this is a great place to go with friends as a social get to gather. Orientation by staff, and no limit on how long you stay and climb. Lots of variety of climbing routes that are changed up weekly.
View on GoogleFriendly staff who are willing to help and give you tips. good environment everyone is very friendly and helpful. Love how often that they are open prices are affordable. Great for beginners or winter climbers. Solid place to just practice climbing with the yearly membership option. Only thing they could to better in my opinion is to open earlier on Mondays.
View on GoogleOverall I was disappointed with Gravity. The route setting is pretty good, and the grades are fair, but they expect you to jump/fall from near the top of some pretty high boulder walls and the mats don't have a ton of give. The addition of more down climb holds, or even just more routes in-between that could be used for climbing down would immediately bump the rating up. The workout equipment upstairs is nice. It has everything a climber needs to strengthen up, but I would have loved to see a campus wall. One of the benches is shaky and the dumbbell rack has some rough edges my hand got caught on, so it could use some TLC. The two tension boards, at different angles, are great for those worried about the lack of down climbs and/or want variation. Day pass prices are good. Definitely a good value if you're not worried about the lack of down climbs. There were a good amount of people climbing and the atmosphere was great. Service was also good. As someone from out of town visiting family, I won't be back until I see the down climbing situation fixed, but I know there aren't many options in the area, so if you're curious about climbing, give it a shot, but if you feel nervous about heights, or have bad ankles, maybe try a different gym.
