Goemans Appliances St. Catharines

We purchased a wall oven from Goemans and are very pleased with our purchase. Some minor cabinet modifications were required prior to installation, and the staff recommended that we contact a reliable workman in Welland. This proved to be an excellent referral, the work was completed to our complete satisfaction (and at reasonable cost), and the installation proceeded very smoothly. We purchased a range and fan hood from Goemans St-Catharines. Donna Amell was our salesperson. She was excellent. Resourceful, product knowledgeable, helpful on all issues or questions we brought up even if not directly related to those we purchased. The folks working with her took care of our questions in her absence. Great team work. Laura (ext. 2) @ GoemansVP was also excellent. She dealt with the rescheduling of our appointments without any glitches. As customers going through a kitchen renovation and having to deal with last minute changes from all sides, she was most pleasant and helpful in coordinating both the delivery and installation of our appliances. Lastly, both the delivery and installation of our appliances were seamless with great attention and care of our property. All and all, we were impressed with the entire experience. Kenn sold us appliances for our remodelled kitchen in 2015. Because he was great to deal with we came back to purchase a Bosch double oven. Again he was great to deal with. As we told him, we will not buy LG products again. A double oven that last only 10 years in not acceptable. The LG fridge has cost us over a $1000 in repairs. Delivery and installation was flawless. Our only issue was it happened over three days. Should be able to install in one. Regardless, we will use Kenn again for our appliance purchases.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with our most recent purchase. We purchased a Frigidaire wall oven and paid to have our previous oven removed and the new oven installed. No one arrived to install our oven on the expected day and promises were made to priortize to us the following day. However, this did not occur. I’m hosting a large gathering tonight at my house now without a functional oven. The contractor that eventually arrived was unable to complete the install and did not speak English. They did take a picture of the oven in the space to prove that they installed it even though it was not connected. We received a text that our oven was installed when it was not installed and was not functioning. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had purchasing any product at any store. Just a follow-up to my first review: I have not heard anything from Goemans regarding the results of their investigation into this terrible customer service experience. I’ll keep you posted.

We are very happy with the service we received from Goemans Appliances. We walked into the St Catharines store on Monday and had our built-in oven professionally installed by Friday. Jessica provided excellent customer service in the store and Roger’s installation team was awesome. An all-around great experience. We’re looking forward to getting the matching fridge & dishwasher in the coming months. Many thanks to a great team at Goemans!
