GNMI Medical Imaging

Extremely bad experience. It was my first time at Greater Niagara Medical Imaging - Welland Avenue for a sonography. The girl, Lisa, told my husband she would take him in later, but she never did. As soon as I went in, she didn’t show me the baby on the screen and didn’t allow my husband to come in either. When I asked if she saw the baby, she said she couldn’t tell me that. I understand there may be certain rules, but this is my second pregnancy and I’ve done this before — no other place has refused to show the baby on the screen to the parents. She was also rude. Patients come in with anxiety and trauma, and things should be handled more properly. I will be telling my doctor not to recommend this place again.

Front desk: CHELSEA I am writing this review with tears in my eyes after what I experienced today at GNMI Welland on March 4th at 10:30 AM. I had been waiting several weeks for this appointment, as everyone knows it can take a long time to get scheduled. I arrived on time and checked in. The receptionist, Chelsea, asked me for my requisition. Unfortunately, I had forgot it, but I immediately told her I could call my doctor’s office and have it faxed over right away. Instead of allowing me even a few minutes to resolve the issue, she said no and immediately rescheduled my appointment to April 2nd. My appointment time was 10:30 AM, and this conversation happened around 10:33 AM. I was only a few minutes past my appointment time and ready to solve the issue immediately. What makes this even more upsetting is that right after leaving, I called my doctor’s office and within minutes they faxed the requisition over immediately. It could have been resolved in less than five minutes, yet I am now forced to wait an entire month for another appointment. To make matters worse, before rescheduling me she even asked if I wanted to empty my bladder, knowing I had been holding it for the appointment. Anyone who has had this type of appointment knows you must arrive with a full bladder, which I had done in preparation for my scan. I left the clinic in tears, shocked that something so simple could not be handled with even a small amount of patience or compassion. Healthcare requires understanding, empathy, and basic human decency, and unfortunately that is not what I experienced today. Chelsea, this was extremely disappointing. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and care, especially when they are trying to resolve a simple issue immediately. I truly hope no other patient has to go through such an upsetting experience over something that could have been solved in minutes.

Unfortunately I have needed their services more over the last 2 years than I care for. Having said that, the staff have made my journey much easier. Each and every time they are professional and courteous, in helping me with time pressure and ease of passage. I recommend them very highly for qualified and professional attention. Much appreciation 💛

The staff were so kind and sweet. From the receptionist to the x-ray technicians, I felt very welcome and cared for. Best experience getting x-rays ever! I was in and out within 20 minutes. Highly recommend. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I was sick with pneumonia and feeling very unwell; they could not have made the experience any better. Thank you 😊 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Just have my 13 week baby scan with Nathaniel and it was seriously the best experience I’ve had! He was patient, kind, and perfectly matched my level of excitement and emotion! He was working with a student, which usually makes me nervous, but he was so communicative with the student and myself, it was brilliant. 10/10 Talk about someone who was born to do this job 😇
