Food was fantastic, stopped for lunch, had Ackee and saltfish. We went back that same evening for Jerk chicken, and Rusta pasta. Great place, comfortable atmosphere, love it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Talk about food for the soul! I had the oxtail and the butter pack curry — both dishes were bursting with flavor, rich, and cooked with so much love you can taste it. The oxtail was fall-off-the-bone tender, while the curry wrapped me up in warm spices that felt like a hug. My husband had the shrimp bowl and was blown away by how fresh and perfectly seasoned it was. From the portions to the great music and vibes, everything about this spot hits different. Friendly service, hearty plates, and flavors that keep you planning your next visit before you’ve even left.

We ( my mother, my daughter, and myself) drove all the way from Markham, Ontario just to have mother's Day brunch at Gibbo's Carribean Cuisine!! And it was a drive well spent. Let's start with the reasons we drove all that way...THE FOOD, THE PEOPLE and THE ATMOSPHERE!! THE FOOD: As you can see from the menu, there is no lack of options of all very delicious, flavorful appetizers, meals, drinks, and desserts. My mother and I had the very delicius jerk chicken Rasta pasta! It was a very generous portion, flavorful, with just right level of spice..not too hot and too mild. The only feedback that I shared with the owners, was that it was a tad bit oily, even though it really didn't change the fact that I fully enjoyed it! The kid menu was a great alternative for their young palettes. My 13 year old daughter said she really enjoyed her lunch, and I noticed that her cousins who also came down from Toronto with their parents, also cleaned their plates. THE ATMOSPHERE: Let's start with that red phone both entrance! There's one word that comes to mind when I reflect on my first impression...and that's nostalgia. Without aging myself, phone booths remind me of the good old days, simpler times, and that's how I felt when I entered the restaurant . The atmosphere is very welcoming, with bright natural lighting, clean surfaces, and comfortable group/family seatings inside and out. But the most memorable part of the atmosphere, was the people. THE PEOPLE: The people is not only the staff, but also the patrons. The time I spent at this restaurant was like like spending time with friends. The staff is very friendly and outgoing, and the other patrons seemed just as relaxed and welcomed as I felt. It was a nice vibe. Lots of laughter, conversations, even some singing and dancing to the live band outside and the Dj inside. In short, I recommend Gibbo's Carribean Cuisine for great food at reasonable prices, great vibes and atmosphere, and it's friendly staff.
