Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication and Unnecessary Hostility I was shopping at Giant Tiger today and had a very disappointing experience. I noticed chicken noodle soup on sale for approximately $0.77, with a sign stating “Limit 6.” The sign did not specify six cans or six cases. Based on what was clearly written, I purchased one case with the intention of donating it to a local soup kitchen here in Niagara Falls. At the checkout, the cashier became extremely hostile and defensive. When I calmly explained that the sign did not clarify “six cans,” she abruptly told me to “pick which six cans you want.” No professionalism. No attempt to acknowledge the store’s unclear signage. Just attitude. Rather than argue, I chose to leave everything behind. This is a failure of advertising clarity and customer service. If a store wants to impose limits, then be clear and precise. Don’t put customers in a position where they’re made to feel like they’re doing something wrong—especially when they’re trying to help their community. Enough with these vague limits and confrontational attitudes. This is Canada, not a third-world country. Do better.
View on GoogleVisited giant tiger on Thorold stone road and had the best experience. An employee named Allison was amazing! She’s incredibly friendly, has an awesome style, was very helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make shopping a great experience. Giant Tiger is so lucky to have her! I will be visiting again! Thanks Allison!

View on GoogleWe liked that we were able to get a raincheck on the ham since the store in downtown St. Catharines told us they could not give us a rain check.
View on GoogleThis place has been busy but the staff felt like they were on top of things, restocking clothing items, plants and items. They were courteous, respectful and accommodating. We used the fitting room facilities multiple times and they were very friendly. Compared to the GTA ones,i find this to be a branch, despite a small selection of groceries.
