Garden City Kiwanis Hockey League

I have been a supporter of Kiwanis from the early 80s. My son and Grandson have played all their hockey there. What they did to the U 18 Comets was absolutely terrible. The team got off to a great start and someone decided to take their best player and move him to another team. They gave them 2 players in return who could not skate. I mean absolutely could not skate. The team then went from first to last and has now missed the playoffs. My son expressed his concern but nothing was done. Absolutely disgusted with the current executives. They just don't care. Edit 2025 Well we talked our Grandson into playing again. That was a mistake. THEY DID IT AGAIN. The team was doing well and they pulled 3 or 4 players and put the same 3 players from last year that absolutely can't skate. They are for some reason screwing the Comets AGAIN!. My son has demanded a refund. I am absolutely appalled at the meddling.

Amazing organization! My son loves it, and coaches and families are fantastic. Organized very well. We look forward to another year

The Kiwanis league is very fun to play in, it can be both competitive and also fun the coaches are nice. You get a Jersey and socks later on your last name is out on your jersey and you also get photos

The select teams are made up of friends of the coaches only. Good luck getting your child on if you don't have a connection. My grandson played 3 xs better then another coaches son and guess who made the team and who did not. This needs to be fixed.
